We had the good fortune of connecting with Christy Lynn and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Christy, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
The thought process behind starting my own business was always freedom. I have always had an entrepreneurial spirit, and I have never done well in environments that cage me in or limit me. I knew that if I wanted complete freedom in every aspect of my life, that the only way I would be able to obtain it was by controlling every aspect of my life including my career. becoming an entrepreneur has never been about financial gain, and always about my freedom..

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I actually wear many hats every day. Co- own a real estate appraisal company. And handle all of the operations. I am a mortgage loan officer, and I also am a comedy video creator on Instagram. Most of my days consist of me switching hats throughout the day to tend to these three careers. And I got diagnosed with ADHD when I was very young, and it used to be a hindrance for me, but on this journey of self-love I have learned how to use it to my advantage. I actually juggle things very well and enjoy doing as many different things as I do every day. The real estate industry can be very stressful and that part of my career takes a lot out of me mentally, whereas the comedy that I create for social media is a passion project of mine. It allows me to have fun and put that side of myself out there that Some people don’t know . My motto in life is anything you want, you can have. I carry that with me in my personal life and in my career. The sky is the limit, and I never, ever limit myself. that is what drives me every day!

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If my best friend was in Denver for the week, I would definitely make sure that I had the trip booked in summer so that we could catch a few shows at Red rocks. Music is one of my biggest passions, and we have one of the most beautiful venues for music in Colorado at red rocks. I would also make sure that we had a hike or two planned and then we would be wrapping up our hike with some of Colorado’s amazing food. I love trying new things and getting outside in this beautiful state!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My answer will probably be not the norm, but this journey into entrepreneurship has been a journey of self. I give myself the credit because it is taking a lot of fight and struggle to get where I am today. I became a mother at 16 years old, and had all of the odds stacked against me. I spent a lot of years trying to conform to societal norms in the way of career. I tried doing the 9-5 and playing it safe like most other people do and was miserable. Learning who I am as a person, trusting who I am as a person and honoring the need to forge my own path has gotten me where I am today. I had to overcome a lot of odds and fear, and take the chances that I have..
