We had the good fortune of connecting with Nichole Campuzano and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Nichole, we’d love to hear about a book that’s had an impact on you.
I listened to the audiobook, Greenlights a memoir of Matthew McConaughey, in 2021. It had an impact upon my motivation to story tell. I realized that life’s journey gives you signals to keep going and move forward. After a life-altering Spinal Cord Injury at age 22, I realized God gave me a battle as one of his strongest soldiers. I became paralyzed and mobile by wheelchair. Life transformed to survival as I grieved the loss of independence and a new way of living. I made the decision to make it a green light and strive at every aspect of my life. I am a life-long scholar, business professional, and Mother. I am an optimist looking for ways to elevate my experiences to further enjoy life and what it offers.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I have a Bachelors degree in Journalism and Mass Communications for CU-Boulder, and a Masters in Business Administration from Regis University. I have always enjoyed learning about things that interest me. I have a strong work ethic and the drive to gain knowledge in my fields of interest. This has created a stable foundation along my path of success. As a business owner it can be difficult because more than likely you are wearing multiple hats in not only your personal, but professional life. I had my daughter during my graduate studies and had to find the means to schedule time for her, myself, and my goals. Life is in constant motion; if you’re battling it or the universe things become out of alignment. One of most invaluable skills has been researching and networking. Ask if the answer is not in a textbook, on the web, or evident. A brand is your story. Nichole’s Voice is a story of my life and how I am willing and able to give knowledge from my own hardships after my spinal cord injury. I am aware that I must give whatever I can, even if I’m weary. The behind the scenes work builds the production. Growth is a mindset to become a star in your own right.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I am a native to Colorado. This state has so much to offer. Every city has its own strong suits. I think that’s why many people flock and stay. If I had a visitor, I would say go to Denver for the best authentic food, sporting events, shows, and lounge. I am bias though because some of my best memories as an adult have been in Boulder. It’s the culture, people, and way of living that I admire.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would like to give a shoutout to my mentor, Joe White, a former High School teacher of mine whom has always given encouragement to keep going. He also has written a book that focuses primarily on Leadership and the impact we have upon others through the three P’s Finding your Purpose, Perspective, and Passion!
