We had the good fortune of connecting with Shelby Stratton and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Shelby, can you talk to us a bit about the social impact of your business?
You always wonder how you will create an impact with your career and over the last 3 years, things have played out to show that for me.

My business has flourished since 2020 and making a huge pivot and trusting in God that I would fully go out on my own in my business. Through my health issues, having another kiddo, and seeing the need to help in the Women’s Health and Fitness arena, I knew I needed to step into this space to help others, whether they are going through pregnancy and post-partum, dealing with a mysterious illness/chronic pain, wanting to move to keep up with grandkids and in between, learning to meet women where they’re at in their health and fitness journey has been key to my success. Sharing my story of advocacy for Endometriosis has empowered other women to find help and to be on the path of less pain and healing. There is still a lot of work to be done in Women’s Health and Fitness Areana and I’m here to be a voice in hopes of change. Ive had the honor to share my story with a local news station as well as a magazine, which is an honor, enouraging women to advocate for themselves. I do what I do so women feel supported, heard, and seen through their health and fitness journey.

What should our readers know about your business?
I own Live Fierce Wellness, I’m a Women’s Functional Health & Fitness Specialist, creating customized plans to optimize women’s lives through wellness, movement, and lifestyle. I see all women from prenatal to postpartum to chronic illness to aging individuals and all in between. I can work in person or virtually together with clients.

I’ve been in the Health and Fitness industry for 15+years, I have my BS degree Health and Exercise Science with a minor in Health Promotion. Over the years I’ve completed many fitness certifications for my tool box when it comes to training clients I mainly use Reformer Pilates, Functional Fitness, and yoga for movement and can meet anyone where they are at in their movement journey. Creating foundational strength to be able to have a life time of movement ahead of them. Through my own chronic health issues of years of trying to find a diagnosis for my Endometriosis, I’ve been through it all with movement and have learned what is needed in different seasons.

Through my journey with Endometriosis Ive also learn the important role of Functional nutrition. It is looking at the body as a whole and seeing what aspects need to be supported or optimized. I had surgery for endometriosis that included excison and a partial hysterectomy in July of 2022. After my surgery things still didnt seem right in my body; my gut, not getting good sleep, had a flair of Epstin barr, and I knew I had to find someone to help, but i searched and didn’t find someone for my exact needs so I decided in spring of 2023, I would go through a certification to become and Functional Nutritionist and Metabolic Specialist. So now I’ve added that to my business, so I can help others learn to optimize their wellness through lifestyle and nutrition changes.

Live Fierce Wellness is here to change the world of Women’s Health and Movement! Raising a daughter I hope to instill healthy habits around lifestyle, movement, and wellness. Breaking the rhetoric of diet culture and empowering women to move and optimize their health for them, creating healthy lifelong habits. I’m also an advocate for women’s health advocacy and endometriosis. I want to empower women to find their voice to help advocate for them and their needs. I’ve help founded a soon to be non-profit, Endo Village, which is a support gathering in Northern Colorado supporting those with Endometriosis. The biggest motivation I have for doing what I do is my daughter, Endometriosis has a genetic component to it, so by advocating for it now in hopes to bring more awareness and education to this disease will hopefully cut down on the time it takes to be diagnosed with this disease. Which right now is on average of 10years and the only why to properly diagnose it is through laproscopy exploratory surgery.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
We would probably start our day getting coffee and I would secretly whisk them away and we would run off to Mexico haha. We would head to a beautiful beach in Playa Del Carmen and enjoy some R&R just us girls, soak up some sun, enjoy the salt air, while listening to the waves crash the shores, all while catching up on life, laughing until we cry and probably shedding some tears too. Sometimes you just need to run away to the beach with a girlfriend! Haha

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My husband has been the biggest cheerleader for me over the years. No matter where I have been through work, motherhood, entrepreneurship, and battling Endo, he has been there. He has been when I’ve accomplished a goal, when I’ve in pain and helping me find more answers or supporting me and sharing my business or at events, he has been the biggest rock that I’m beyond thankful for!
