The most important lesson I’ve learned from Woolberry has been to allow myself the space to create. The space to push my limits. The space to become. When I started Woolberry 4 years ago, I was (quite frankly) just burnt out on life. My husband and I had moved back to the States from living overseas in New Zealand and I didn’t really have any direction. So, on a whim, I decided to start this whole thing. I decided to take a risk and a chance. I decided for probably the first time in my life, that I could do something and make something of myself. Woolberry gave me my voice – both artistically and in normal life. Now, 4 years later with the addition of 2 children, and 3 employees running the business alongside my husband – I look back and see not just how much Woolberry has grown in that time, but also how much I’ve grown as a person because I allowed myself the freedom to create. The most important lesson I would say is to frequently self evaluate. Learning to find the courage to take a deeper look at yourself and be honest about your weaknesses is where the change really begins.
