We had the good fortune of connecting with Georgia Damalas Snodgrass and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Georgia, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
I used to work in Corporate America. For a while I even enjoyed climbing the “corporate ladder”, but life changed rather significantly for me. Married with two children, one with special needs and two more on the way from Ghana, Africa, I knew it was time. Time to take the leap and step down from managing multiple investment advisory offices and do something for myself. I needed autonomy of my time and I wanted to be the one in the driver seat making the decisions of my day to day. The craziness of me and my husband both working in Corporate was killing our family slowly, as my husband would say “death by a thousand cuts.” I left and never looked back. Now, I just look forward and am so thankful for the decision I made for my own desires in life, but also for our tribe,

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
I love educating others in the wine and coffee world. Most wines are heavily contaminated with pesticides, chemicals and added sugars. We scout the world to find boutique vineyards producing wines with ZERO chemicals and ZERO added sugars. Third party lab testing to ensure they are free from any of the yucky stuff! Coffee, is one of the most heavily pesticide crop in the world! Organic is best, but that still doesn’t prevent mold! We check for hundreds of pesticides, mold and mycotoxins on every batch! Satisfaction guaranteed! We are 100% transparent and are paving the way as industry disruptors! Not only that, but we are on a mission to be carbon neutral by 2028 and we are working on our B Corp certificate – only 7200 businesses in the world have this ranking which is the highest standards of social & environmental performance, Our passion is sharing the best wines and coffees with everyone while doing our part to protect Mother Earth too. 🌎

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I love our city! And I love entertaining our friends and family! Depending on the time of year, we most likely will be going in the mountains for a hike or at minimum, a drive. They are beautiful and there is nothing better than some fresh mountain air. I love driving to Estes or even the foothills around Golden – you can’t go wrong! A few of my most fave restaurants are Root Down, Rioja & Corinne! Delish!!! If it’s basketball season, a Nuggets game is a MUST! And too many amazing breweries to choose from all over the city. But by far, the absolute best is a concert at Red Rocks. If you come to Denver, this would be the one thing I would prioritize at the top of the list. It’s magical.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Truly, I would have to say my littles (aka: my children). I have four and they keep me on my toes every single day. Life is flying by so quickly and I am grateful to have a front row seat in their lives. I remember working in corporate and me and my husband arguing about who was going to take our kid to the dentist or stay home when someone was sick. It was horrible! Now, I don’t have to think about it. I do the things they need from me with zero guilt. They are the reason I made the switch from corporate to working for myself. They are the reason I do what I do every day – to provide more yeses in their lives, the yeses I wasn’t afforded because my family always lived paycheck to paycheck. And I love that they get to see their mama doing something she loves while instilling the importance of being your own boss.
