Hi Katie, as a parent, what have you done for you children that you feel has had the most significant impact?
As a parent, perhaps the most significant influence I’ve had on my children stems from my role as an independent and successful mom. By demonstrating resilience, hard work, and determination, I’ve become a beacon of inspiration for them. Balancing the responsibilities of providing for them as a single parent while pursuing my own professional endeavors has been pivotal. They witness firsthand the dedication I pour into my full-time job at White Stone Marketing, as well as working my own business mostly aiding neighbors and friends with their businesses, and my role as a competitive softball coach. Despite the juggling act, I prioritize their needs, ensuring they have access to extracurricular activities like competitive softball, where they excel as pitchers on a travel team. Through my example, they learn the importance of perseverance, time management, and putting family first. My journey not only empowers them to dream big but also instills in them the belief that with determination, anything is achievable.

Working as a full-time employee for White Stone Marketing, I can confidently say that I have the best job in the world. Under the leadership of Scott and Allison Crumpton, the company has fostered an exceptional culture that is both supportive and empowering. As the Senior Marketing Analyst, with 19 years of experience in digital marketing, I’ve honed my expertise in the field. My journey into this career began unexpectedly after completing grad school at the University of Northern Colorado and relocating for my then-husband’s career. Despite initially having no knowledge of digital marketing, I quickly became a valued asset in the industry. Through various job changes and relocations, I found my professional home when Scott and Allison extended an offer to join their team. Beyond my role at White Stone Marketing, I also run my own digital marketing firm, where I extend my skills to assist neighbors and friends on their digital marketing journeys at an affordable price. Witnessing their success online is immensely gratifying and reinforces my passion for helping others thrive in their businesses.

Throughout my career, I’ve encountered challenges while working with difficult individuals, which often blurs the line between work and personal life, especially when stress is pervasive. Undoubtedly, the significance of working for employers who value and trust you cannot be overstated. The oppressive nature of micromanagement can be soul-crushing. While some prioritize monetary gains, I’ve observed over the years that true job satisfaction transcends financial rewards. Moreover, although I could command a substantial fee for my services independently, I find immense value in assisting neighbors and friends. One poignant example is my involvement in utilizing my skills to help abandoned dogs find loving homes. Donating my expertise to aid animals in need is a worthwhile investment of my time and abilities. Doing good for others is where it is.

I am deeply committed to giving back to my community through my volunteer work with a competitive softball organization in Colorado. One of the ways I contribute is by dedicating my time to create and manage the organization’s website, ensuring it serves as a valuable resource for players, families, and supporters alike. Beyond technical support, I find great fulfillment in uplifting the young student-athletes, ranging from ages 10u to 18u, through engaging social media posts highlighting their achievements, both on and off the field. Whether celebrating athletic triumphs, community contributions, or their journey to college placements, I strive to spread positivity in a world often clouded by negativity. My aim is to bring joy to these remarkable young ladies and their families, fostering a supportive environment where their talents and accomplishments are celebrated and cherished.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If my closest friends were visiting and we had a week to revel in each other’s company, our destination of choice would be the breathtaking haven of Steamboat Springs. Nestled amidst the majestic landscape, with Hahns Peak and Routt National Park as our backdrop, we’d embark on a fun journey. Securing a cozy cabin, we’d immerse ourselves in the splendor of the mountains, indulging in exhilarating four-wheeling adventures while cherishing moments of heartfelt conversation, laughter, and shared memories. Despite the divergent paths we’ve taken since high school, our bond remains unbreakable. Whenever we reunite, it’s as if no time has passed. Together, we weather life’s storms, offering unwavering support through divorces, career transitions, relocations, and the myriad challenges life presents.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My success in life is not solely attributed to my own efforts, but rather, it is a culmination of the guidance, love, and influence bestowed upon me by a myriad of individuals. Primarily, my inspiration, grit, drive, competitiveness, compassion, desire to go from good to great, and sensitivity stem from the unwavering support and example set by my parents and sister. Their encouragement and belief in me have been the driving force behind my achievements. Moreover, I acknowledge that without the presence of God and the unwavering support of my family, I would have faltered in the face of extreme adversity. During trying times, their love and faith helped me navigate through the darkest of days, emerging stronger, more determined, and better equipped to tackle life’s challenges. Their collective influence has shaped me into the person I am today, imbuing me with resilience, empathy, and a steadfast resolve to continually strive for excellence.
