Meet Alicia Pucci | Sewing Instructor Extraordinaire

We had the good fortune of connecting with Alicia Pucci and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Alicia, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
As a sole proprietor, my success is contributed to the high quality instruction I offer at Sew-it-All. I am a seasoned teacher with years of experience teaching to all kinds of learners. I quickly access the learning styles of my students and change my teaching style accordingly.

There is just no substitute for experience when it comes to teaching.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I’ve been a teacher for 31 years. I started teaching Home Economics aka Family and Consumer Studies when I was 22! After 17 years as a middle school teacher, I opened the San Francisco Sew-it-All studio in the heart of the SF Marina. It was magical.

We relocated to Denver for my husband’s work and after 2 years of wondering what to do about a career, i decided that having a studio brought me the most joy.

I love teaching adults, teens and everyone in between the best hobby ever- sewing.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I love the Denver Art Museum followed by lunch at the Art Hotel Restaurant.

Going into nature and seeing Colorado wildlife is such a treasure.

Driving over 70 is truly breathtaking- I love grand junction as well as Durango

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My shout out goes to all of my clients who enrolled in a sewing class. I’m grateful that people young and old want to learn this skill from me.
