We had the good fortune of connecting with Anthony Argento and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Anthony, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
Trial and error. Practice always made perfect. Gaining experience was always important to me. Even the smallest thing just makes you a better rounded person.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
It was when I started college when I realized it’s time to start a company. I started Rollin Studios, INC in 2010. It took me two solid year to build my craft and before I knew it Rollin Studios became the biggest production house that caters to projects all over the world. Starting from Korea to Thailand to all of Asia, and Europe. We have produced some of the biggest movies and shows like Kill Me Heal Me, Featherweight, Ghouls, lost in Russia, and our latest Wandering Earth 2.
Now working on all these international jobs were not easy. The language barrier being one of the hardest things to overcome. You say getting a translator is easy, you don’t know if they are good or not sometimes until it is too late. The other components is joining to cultures into one. Working in different states to countries, all have different rules and regulations to follow.
I think this is what make me different from everyone else. I have familiarized my self with many different cultures learning from them and being able to blend them to where filming takes us. I’m very good at putting myself in others shoes and understanding the problem which is half the solution usually. This gets me to really understand people and how to work together.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Well for one I would show them places like the knockdown center, various jazz clubs and take them to some fine dinning like Manducatis Rustica. Then of course I will always let them visit broadway stages to see some of the most amazing film sets and if your lucky actors as well.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Ken Keller, Rosemary Lombard, and Jim Chory were definitely my mentors as I learned from them in many different ways.
