We had the good fortune of connecting with Bryan Goldfeder and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Bryan, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
Glass blowing is an ancient medium that has been a profession of my ancestors for thousands of years. The approaches have changed with modern technology in a fashion that creates the opportunity for small scale opperations like BGOLD Glass. When the opportunity presented to by some old gear, I jumped right in with the mission to create Art and teach this amazing craft.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
At BGOLD glass we pride ourselves in small scale production using state of the art equipment to maximize energy efficiency while creating a durable, beautiful, and intentional product. Our focus is on: teaching glass blowing, presenting modern Judaica for Jewish weddings and festivals, and crafting custom installations for homes and businesses. We have built our business in a grounded way that allows us space to connect with and work directly with our clients to ensure a smooth process. Our approach is one of a new fabrication method where we cultivate a small, resilient, and sustainable business this a deep focus on local communities and symbiosis with the our larger business and environmental ecosystems. The new BGOLD glass studio is located on the blossoming East Side Art Institute, a land based craft school in Boulder county. You can find our crew in the studio or elevating the land with our various garden plots, pizza oven projects, and land based art installations.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
A visit to BGOLD glass is an amazing opportunity to immerse in the creative craft of glass blowing. The experiences are around 2 hours, and includes designing and creating the glass art of our wildest dreams. This is a very hands on activity, so the participants really get a feel for how the medium moves and the limitations of forging this art of fire. An experience can be conveniently booked through the website around your travel schedule and the masterpieces are shipped home for your timeless memento of an adventurous trip. After this centerpiece of the day, a stroll around Old Town Lafayette with some chips at Teocalle and chocolate at Stam Chocolaterie will complete this day to remember.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would like to give a shout out to the holy flow of all being. With deep gratitude I appreciate the energetic experience of surfing through this beautiful realm of existence. It is an honor to help reflect the joyous creative light that is everywhere always.
