We had the good fortune of connecting with Molly Fehr and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Molly, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
My entrepreneurial journey hasn’t looked like it does for most, and that is something I am most proud of.

I never intended on becoming a business owner, after watching both my parents run businesses as a child it was never something I wanted to take on myself.

Plus, I loved my corporate job. I loved the energy of being at the top, and the security and the paid vacay and the benefits that came with a W2. But as it turns out the universe had other plans for me…

I started Pacha House as a way to connect with others at the tail end of the pandemic, during a time when most people weren’t quite sure how to leave the nest of isolation.

This was also a time when people were becoming more and more interested in alternative ways of health and putting a larger value on their mental wellbeing.

Things like therapy and meditation were becoming more normalized. I had an understanding and experience with the services that people were looking for which meant I was (pretty much accidentally) entering the market at the perfect time.

Initially we started as a vacation rental experience that specializes in providing healing and wellness services for our guests, and that quickly grew into an event space for others to gather and connect through experiences like sound healing, meditation and later on, psychedelics.

In 2022 we received our Psychedelic Harm Reduction and Integration (PHRI) Certificate and doctoral training through Numinus Health and the Canadian Psychological Association (CPA), the l’Ordre des psychologues du Québec (OPQ), and the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association (CCPA). We were the first center in the state of Colorado to be awarded the PHRI certification.

About a year into Pacha House and running our social media page, other local businesses started to reach out to me to inquire about social media management.

I never would’ve imagined myself working in social media but the next thing I knew I was launching Pacha Social Media, a performance based social media company that specializes in expanding women owned wellness brands through strategic PR, business development and digital marketing.

Helping other businesses grow is something that sets my soul on fire and I am so grateful that I strangely, somehow ended up here.

And lastly, around the same time that I was launching Pacha Social Media, my dad had approached me about going in on a mountain vacation rental property together. A seasoned entrepreneur himself and my business mentor, he saw the success that I had been having at Pacha House and wanted a piece of the pie.

That is when Bootsy’s Basecamp was born, a mountain vacation rental nestled amongst the peaks of Breckenridge, Colorado and named after my grandmother, a wild cowgirl with a big heart, BOOTSY!

I didn’t realize at the time but having a family businesses named after your grandmother is huge motivation to succeed. Bootsy herself is a ‘nothing but the best will do’ kinda gal so the expectations were high and I can proudly say that we delivered.

So yes, a lot has happened in the past 3 years and I have fallen in love with my life through this journey which has allowed me to connect with amazing people, experience profoundly healing moments and create something of my own.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I own a wellness-inspired event space and vacation rental in the Highlands called Pacha House. We focus on providing healing experiences for our guests visiting Denver, from massage to sound healing to Psychedelic-Assisted Therapy and beyond, our guests have the option of creating a robust itinerary of self care experiences with local practitioners who come to the house during their stay.

Something I am most proud of within Pacha House is the work we do to help others.

Many of our guests are women who are seeking healing from sexual assault trauma, which is a cause near and dear to my heart after being kidnapped and raped myself in 2016.

It means so much to me to host a space that helps other women who have been victimized by sexual assault. On the days when running a business gets hard, this is what keeps me going.

In addition to Pacha House, I also co-founded a vacation rental in Breckenridge, Bootsy’s Basecamp. Bootsy’s is a luxury ski-in, ski out experience nestled amongst the peaks of Breckenridge, designed for large groups who favor a true luxury experience. Bootsy’s also hosts wellness and psychedelic retreats during the off season.

Lastly, the majority of my energy as a business owner is dedicated to being a free lance Social Media Manager through my company, Pacha Social Media. PSM is a performance-based social media mgmt company that specializes in driving sales and creating community through both organic media and paid ads. I have the absolute pleasure of representing women-owned wellness brands and am insanely passionate about helping women-owned businesses grow.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I am a mountain girl at heart and love a summer adventure so I would be most excited to show them around one of my favorite places in Colorado, the Roaring Fork Valley.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I’d like to dedicate my shout out to my dogs, Jagger and Louie, and my Business Coach, Danielle Lauren of Elevated Experience who supported me in launching Pacha Social Media and Bootsy’s Basecamp.
