Meet Jordan Louis | Founder + CEO

We had the good fortune of connecting with Jordan Louis and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Jordan, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
When I started LINK x LOU in 2020, I saw a gap in the permanent jewelry industry and wanted to make it accessible for myself, friends, and family. At the time, the only place I knew of to get permanent jewelry was in NYC, which would have required a lot of time and money to get my hands on these beautiful, dainty bracelets. So, I decided to channel that energy into starting my own business and offer this service locally, making 14k solid gold permanent jewelry more accessible for everyone around me. Another big part of the initial vision for the business was the idea that if I could figure out how to bring this idea to Denver, I could share it with others.
It wasn’t just about providing a product I had a hard time finding; I also wanted to create unique job opportunities for individuals. My goal was to offer roles that allowed them to use their diverse skills. Starting LINK x LOU felt like a calling to create something new, help people bond and connect, support other brands and businesses across the nation, and create a place where people feel valued for what they bring to the table in their “workplace.”
Not only is our jewelry designed to be high-quality and represent something sentimental, making it a meaningful addition to people’s lives, but the individuals we hire also help create a unique and unforgettable experience. Our Linkers are self-motivated, organized, people-loving, and very creative. Their entrepreneurial spirit is the key to their success and contributes to an amazing internal culture. It’s crucial to me that our team provides an experience that sets us apart, making customers feel so moved by their time getting linked that they want LINK x LOU to be part of all their special moments and milestones. Being connected to other reps across the country provides a strong support system and enhances our mission to build connections and create lasting memories both within LINK x LOU and in our local communities.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
LINK x LOU started as a premier permanent jewelry experience brand, and while we’ve focused heavily on permanent jewelry, we’re excited about expanding beyond that in the future. We pride ourselves on offering top-notch, 14k solid gold jewelry and creating an exceptional, memorable experience—all while staying sustainable. From the moment of discovery through booking, getting linked, and receiving compliments on your sentimental pieces, our customers consistently rave about the professionalism, ease, and quality of their experience with our amazing Linkers. We offer permanent jewelry as bracelets, necklaces, rings, anklets, earrings, hand chains, and more! The best part is, we bring the experience to you – both to your home, your business, the airbnb for your bachelorette, you name it.
What began with me welding bracelets on my roommates and friends in Denver back in April 2020 has grown into a presence in over 45 cities across the US. The early interest in permanent jewelry was clear, thanks to social media, but scaling up was a challenge. We had to navigate extensive training, build systems, hire the right people, and manage legal and logistical issues. Being in a new industry, with its uncharted territory, made things like securing insurance and managing supply chains more complicated, but we tackled these obstacles with resilience and creativity.
Launching during the pandemic added its own set of challenges, such as sourcing raw materials and managing inventory. We got creative with seasonal drops and expanded our team to meet the demand.
We’re proud to have been pioneers in many cities and to have led the way in nationwide expansion. With over four years of experience, we’ve honed our approach to delivering our services both in homes and businesses. While we’re excited about future growth and new ventures, our commitment to permanent jewelry remains at the heart of what we do. We’re dedicated to evolving and expanding this aspect of our business while exploring new opportunities.
What sets LINK x LOU apart is our dedication to creating meaningful, lasting connections through our jewelry. We offer more than just a product; we provide an experience that celebrates life’s special moments and milestones. Our goal is to be a part of our customers’ stories, delivering an exceptional experience that resonates with their lives and making LINK x LOU a cherished part of their journeys.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If my best friend were visiting Denver for a week, I would be blending the best of the city with a visit to Breckenridge, where I spend a lot of my free time:
Day 1: We’d kick off with morning coffee and gluten and dairy-free snacks at Nest @ Nurture. Afterward, we’d take a leisurely walk around Sloan’s Lake to enjoy the beautiful weather and scenery.
Day 2: For lunch, we’d head to Onefold for a delicious brunch. In the afternoon, we’d attend a networking event with What She Said – these ladies know how to put on an event! Plus, it’s such a fantastic community worth connecting with.
Day 3: We’d spend the day exploring Breckenridge. We’d start with a visit to the Breckenridge Farmer’s Market to create a custom hat from Deuces Wild Hat Co. and enjoy local treats. Afterward, we’d head to Lake Dillon for a boat day with friends, soaking in the stunning views and relaxing on the water. In the evening, we’d have dinner at Rootstalk, known for its fantastic food or catch a concert at sunset at the Dillon Amphitheater.
Day 4: Back in Denver, we’d do some shopping at Modern Nomad and grab a bite from one of the local food trucks. Love me some street tacos!
Day 5: We’d probably take another day trip to the mountains for some outdoor adventures – I love driving up to new views I haven’t seen before and taking photos of the scenery.
Day 6: We’d hang at Wash Park with some takeout and live music.
Day 7: To wrap up the week, we’d visit some local shops and thrift stores (or estate sales) so they can leave with some new souvenirs.
Denver and Breckenridge offer a perfect blend of that city energy and mountain serenity which makes each day unique and adventurous!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I want to dedicate my shoutout to several key influences in my life. First and foremost, my parents. They set a wonderful example for me and my five siblings, showing us that if you want something badly enough, you can figure it out. They taught us that it’s never too late to learn a new skill, and that challenges are opportunities to grow and expand. Phrases like “try something new, work hard, ask questions, and get your hands dirty” were normal in our household, and these lessons have stayed with me throughout my journey.
I also want to give a shoutout to my amazing business coach, Stephanie Hewitt. Her guidance over the years has been invaluable. She is a wealth of knowledge, an incredible hype woman, and has significantly boosted my confidence as a business owner and leader. Her mentorship has shown me that something beautiful can come from all the discovery, hard work, challenges, and changes—even if the end result isn’t exactly what you initially set out to achieve.
Additionally, I’m deeply grateful for my incredible team at LINK x LOU. Our Linkers and HQ staff are self-motivated, organized, and creative individuals who bring their best every day. Their entrepreneurial spirit and dedication are the heart and soul of our company, helping to create a unique and unforgettable experience for our customers. Their contributions are a key part of what sets us apart and makes LINK x LOU a part of all our customers’ special moments and milestones.
I also want to recognize my friends, who have been a constant source of support and encouragement. Their belief in me and their willingness to cheer me on through the ups and downs have been incredibly meaningful.
Lastly, I appreciate the local business community in Denver. The support and collaboration with other small businesses have been instrumental in our growth. Networking and building relationships with other entrepreneurs have provided insights and opportunities that have been essential to our success.
To all these amazing people and resources, thank you for your support and encouragement. Your influence has been instrumental in shaping LINK x LOU and helping us achieve our goals.
