We had the good fortune of connecting with Stephanie Lopez and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Stephanie, what do you attribute your success to?
I believe my biggest factor in becoming successful in my career is knowing when to take risks. Being able to take risks has offered so many different opportunities for myself an the success of my brand. I am learning so much from celebrity barbers that go out of their way to help support my brand an directs me how to become greater with different techniques. Having the ability to take risks has offered a better perspective about taking that leap of faith an allowing myself to flourish while doing so.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I got to where I am today by stimulating my growth with a new perspective from emotional adversity. Once I understood the power of these emotions an channeled that energy towards my growth it was a huge game changer for me. I am extremely proud of myself because I have worked so hard to have more clarity in my life an that has made my heart become stronger. From all my struggles an disappointments I have endured. I got to where I am today by maintaining composure through compartmentalizing. I look back an realize my biggest mistake was when one thing went wrong I would allow it to affect other parts of my life an that was something I wanted to change. Because being a single mother an a barber juggling everything all at once an keeping my mentality an physical being healthy was a lot for me to take on. I stopped allowing problems to expand an steamroll through everything in my life. No one is perfect. An what I did learn from this is that having stability in one area of my life was a source of strength an foundation which made corrections in other parts of my life. Doing all these changes was not easy. But little by little it allowed myself to becoming mentally stronger to the outside noise that came with a lot of judgments. Some lessons I learned along the way were being stronger then what everyone says or thinks, and having the self confidence I would want my children to have really made a huge impact on my life. I also Learned to cope with emotional adversity, an changing my mindset with a new perspective has allowed me to thrive more then ever. I want to encourage all entrepreneurs to take that leap of faith even if it looks impossible an doubt sets in. In the beginning it’s never easy. But each an every day if you push to become better you will become more resilient to the obstacles life throws at us.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I really enjoy going to different restaurants and enjoying different types of food such as la loma, Capital Grill, Morton’s . I also really like going to Theodore Roosevelt they have amazing drinks, an right next door is front porch, where there are plenty of drink specials with amazing games that make you laugh an enjoy your time with your friends. Then across the street is comedy works. Where you can go an enjoy some laughs from many different comedians. Rocky Mountain zip line adventure is always fun with colorados longest ziplines. I enjoy being in the mountains an enjoying a day at the spa at Beaver Creek Resort to wind down.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I have been working with a very dear friend of mine his name is Nicholas, his barber name is Techneek. He has been an amazing mentor to me, he has taught me how to grow mentally an physically. I look up to him a lot because of how good of a barber he is an how strong of an person he is. I’m striving to becoming as good as him.
