We had the good fortune of connecting with Shannon Price and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Shannon, what’s something about your industry that outsiders are probably unaware of?
One thing about real estate that outsiders are probably unaware of is just how much emotional intelligence and adaptability go into the job. It’s not just about buying and selling properties—it’s about understanding people’s unique needs, dreams, and even fears. A real estate agent often wears many hats: negotiator, counselor, market analyst, and problem-solver. For example, helping empty nesters downsize or guiding a family toward their dream vacation home involves much more than numbers and contracts—it’s about building trust and being genuinely invested in their future!

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I am a realtor and what sets me apart from others is my ability to make connections on a personal level with my clients and everyone else I work with, including mortgage lenders and other realtors. It wasn’t easy getting to where I am in my business because I moved from Texas to Colorado and started a brand new career in real estate without knowing anyone; I had to make new connections to be successful. I made the decision to educate myself in real estate by earning certifications and designations, in an effort to be the best agent for my clients. I have learned that I have to be decisive, consistent, committed, and transparent in business as well as in my personal life. I am passionate about helping people and real estate has allowed me to apply that passion to my career.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
