We had the good fortune of connecting with Kaitlin Reagan and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Kaitlin, we’d love to hear about how you approach risk and risk-taking
Risk taking changed my life. Here is an example. When I was in my senior year of high school, I wanted to go to college in New York City for acting. I was currently already attending a high school in Manhattan for acting. However, due to my poor score on the SAT, I got rejected from every single college I ever dreamt of. I was traumatized. I felt like I would never be happy. I watched all my friends get accepted into every single college they ever wanted to go to. I felt so alone, I felt like such a loser. There was ONE college that I did get accepted into though. It was a college that I applied to just to have back up, I did NOT want to go to college in Florida. To be honest, I don’t even know why I applied. The idea of going far away from home freaked me out. I knew no one that lived there, it was so far away from NY, and I didn’t know if I would like it. I forced myself to take the risk. I packed my bags, and moved by myself. It ended up being the best thing that ever happened to me. I absolutely loved it. I made so many new friends. I became so independent. I learned a different way of living. I learned how to network. I learned how to push to get what I want. I found myself. I learned my strengths, and I learned my weaknesses. Moving away forced me to get out of my shell. I ended up connecting with the whole city of Miami, and got to network with people I thought I’d never get a hold of. It was truly life changing. My friends from New York watched my growth, and it inspired them to always take on opportunities that are presented to them. Not getting a good score on my SAT happened for a reason. I was not meant to go to my dream colleges. I was meant to do something better. Trust your process.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
When I was on the reality show named Paradise Hotel on FOX, the biggest feedback I received was that I was the realist person on that show. I never lost track of who I am, and that is what set me apart from every other person that was present. I kept it real, and authentic. Another thing I am known for are my videos on Tiktok. I am known to motivate, and push self love. I also love to push a go-getter lifestyle, to motivate others to chase what they want. I love to remind others that anything in life is possible with the right mindset. My mindset is what sets me different from everyone else. I am outgoing, relatable, inspiring, and most importantly a go-getter. I see what I want for myself, and I promise you it will be what I get. I am known on social media for being inspiring, I love uplifting, and changing the way people see the world for the better. I have a big heart, and something about making others smile keeps me going. It may sound cliche, but it’s extremely accurate. I been through a lot, so I speak from experience. I consider life as a blessing, and always carry positive vibes. I love to be adventures, and I love to meet new people. I am from Brooklyn, New York which plays a big role in my personality. My accent always keeps people entertained. I am quick, and sharp. I am independent, and very organized. I would say the only place I tend to be messy is with my room, and clothes.I haven’t mastered that one yet. I’m not looking to be perfect, but I strive to be pretty close. My consistency, and determination is why I am where I am today. It is not easy, I have had so many bumps on the way. You need to be a problem solver. Someone that is always willing to solve, and look for solutions rather than dwell. When a problem occurs, my first instinct is to allow myself to be upset about it for a total of five minutes. Once that five minutes is up, I shift my energy to think like a winner. Here are some of the questions I ask myself: Why did this happen, was it something I did? What did I learn from this experience? How can I make sure this gets avoided for the future? How can I fix this successfully? How can I grow from this? What did it teach me? I give myself time to answer all these questions, and I fix, You need to be okay with fixing. You need to be okay with change. You need to be okay with criticism. You need to forgive yourself. You need to NOT care what others think about you. You need to focus. You need to sacrifice. You need discipline. Once you master these things, you are one step closer to success. I want the world to know how bad I’ve always wanted everything that I have right now. How hard I’ve worked, how long I suffered to get it. I am currently still not where I want to be, but I am closer. I trust the process, I enjoy the process, and most importantly I learn from the process. It is a journey, and only those that refuse to quit make it out on top. You need to be okay with failing, you just need to want it. You need to want it more than anything else in this world, Your passion will reflect your work ethic. So want it, and you will receive it.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Some of my favorite things to do is go on adventures. I would take my girls sky diving, hiking, cross fit classes, social gatherings, some of the best Italian restaurants that I know! I am big into traveling, and road trips. I love beaches, and I love watching the sunset.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I want to thank my two mentors Gary Vaynerchuk, and Colby Tucker for always pushing me to be a go getter. They allowed me to see the world in a way that I’ve never seen before. I also want to thank my mother, Allison Reagan, for being an absolute amazing support throughout the journey. She always motivated me to never give up, and never be scared to get told no. She always told me, “Take risks, be fearful, be pushy, because the worst someone can do is say no”. My boyfriend, Francesco LoPresti who kept me going when I wanted to give up. My close group of friends who reminded me that they were never going to leave my side, when I felt like the rest of the world was. Lastly, to my haters, who grew my strength tremendously throughout the process.
