We had the good fortune of connecting with Cilia Neri and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Cilia, what is the most important factor behind your success?
Is to have a right mindset, to have self confidence, believing in your vision, Adaptability, being willing to learn, something new related to your business to help you grow, persistence is very important to be facing challenges every day, is very important as well knowing your market, researching the needs and desires of your target audience to put my work out there, probably the most important thing for me is to have passion and love for whatever you do.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
My studio specializes in permanent makeup, eyelash extensions, lash lifts, wax and tints. I love meeting new people, and I am passionate about expressing my cosmetic artistry through my clients. I am a hardworking and entrepreneurial individual who en joys socializing, I love learning new things and always trying to be the best on what I do by updating myself , is very important investing on education and practicing the things you learn before you put your work out there, is expensive and it could be challenging but you need to take the risk because is totally worth it! I truly enjoy and I have so much passion for what I do, I feel grateful for the opportunity to positively impact the lives of others by making feel special, beautiful, self confidence my customers.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If my best friend were to visit me, I would recommend coming during spring or summer to fully enjoy the experience. I would take them to a concert at Red Rocks in Denver, as it is one of my favorite places. We would visit the Glenwood Hot Springs and spend two days there to explore the town and relax at the spa. Upon returning to Colorado Springs, I would take them on hikes at Garden of the Gods, Helen Hunt Falls, or Seven Falls. I would also bring them to the Gold Camp Road overlook for stunning views and to dine at a Mexican restaurant called Zócalo, located in downtown Colorado Springs. To end the day, we might visit a bar such as Kelly’s or Brian’s on Academy Boulevard.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My greatest inspiration was my son. As a single mother in a foreign country, I found strength in his presence. The unconditional support of my family has been invaluable, and I am deeply grateful for it. I would also like to acknowledge the Black Chamber of Commerce of Colorado Springs for the recognition they granted me after completing the Women Entrepreneur Program certification. Their dedication and willingness to provide guidance have been instrumental in my journey, and I sincerely thank them for their support.
