Hi Megan, is your business focused on helping the community? If so, how?

What should our readers know about your business?
My journey to find my place in the medical world has been a long and fulfilling one. I first saw Acupuncture on my equine and K-9 partners. It was used to help relieve pain and to aid in recovery from colic and other surgeries. I was fascinated but I did not know how much it would change my life. From there I went to work at a local hospital as a Wound Care specialist. While the hospital taught me so much about humanity and myself, when it came time to further my education and go to Medical school, I was pulled a different direction. I was at a healthcare symposium where Acupuncture would once again resurface in my life. After meeting an Acupuncturist who working in the area I lived I knew it was something I needed to pursue. I jumped into a 3.5 year full time Acupuncture graduate program and began to learn. That 3 years was the most important time of my life to that date. That program called me to be the highest version of myself and I will be forever grateful.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I would tell a friend to travel around to the different hot springs and ski mountains in Colorado. I would tell them to start at the Cottonwood Hot Springs near Buena Vista. I would tell them to eat at the local restaurants on main street, I’ve tried them all, they’re amazing. I would tell them to visit Mount Princeton on the way out of town, Then I would have them go to Pegosa Springs and pick one of the many hot springs in the area a try. Add a day at Wolf Creek skiing or snowboarding. Then I would have them head over to Joyful Journeys Hot Springs near Monarch ski mountain. Next head to Steamboat and got to The Strawberry Hot Springs and Steamboat Ski area. There are so many options that I didn’t mention, but that would be the perfect week trip in Colorado.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would like to give a Shoutout to all the amazing Doctors and practitioners that have helped me to learn and grow as a practitioner along the way. Thank you to Dr. Melendia Story (DVM) for introducing me to this medicine so many years ago, to all my professors at Southwest Acupuncture College. It takes a village and my village is STRONG!!
