Meet Nathalie Flores | CrossFit coach, Sports Performance Coach & Content Creator

We had the good fortune of connecting with Nathalie Flores and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Nathalie, what do you attribute your success to?
As a dedicated athlete throughout my life and now a high-level CrossFit coach, I believe that the key to successful coaching lies in establishing a strong connection with each athlete. By employing tailored communication techniques and effective coaching strategies, I empower athletes to recognize and learn from their mistakes, ultimately guiding them to achieve their full potential and excel in their pursuits.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I’m a Venezuelan CrossFit coach who relocated to Colorado to join Coal Creek CrossFit and Impact Sports Performance.
During my childhood and teenage years, I was a competitive gymnast and a Karate athlete. Later, I discovered CrossFit and began the process of certification and preparation to become a coach. Simultaneously, I elevated my competitive level and collaborated with renowned elite coaches worldwide, gaining invaluable experience in coaching athletes aspiring to professional CrossFit or other sports, utilizing CrossFit as a training tool.
Embarking on this journey was an effortless decision, yet it led me to where I am today. However, the path wasn’t straightforward, especially after relocating to the US and transitioning to coaching in a foreign language. While speaking a language is different from coaching, it also presents an advantage by allowing me to coach the Spanish-speaking community, which is scarce in my area. This fosters a sense of comfort and familiarity for them as they learn in their native language.
Over the years, I’ve expanded my involvement in sports performance training, assisting young yet highly skilled athletes in enhancing their strength and conditioning for various sports, including Hockey, Soccer, Baseball, Volleyball, Football, Basketball, and more. My extensive experience has also provided me with the opportunity to create content on social media and collaborate with brands, establishing myself as a reliable source of information related to CrossFit and fitness.
I began this journey in a country with limited access to resources such as certifications, travel for conferences, and proper training. Undeterred, I surrounded myself with knowledgeable individuals and embarked on self-learning and research. Today, I work for an exceptional gym, doing what I love—transforming lives and continuously improving my skills.
