Meet Madhuri Bandari

We had the good fortune of connecting with Madhuri Bandari and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi madhuri, can you tell us more about your background and the role it’s played in shaping who you are today?
I come from India, a land rich in diversity—where food, culture, languages, and lifestyles vary from region to region. Growing up in a little conservative background, I was told that as a girl, traveling alone wasn’t something I was supposed to do – mainly due to security concerns in my country. But that question always lingered in my mind—Why? Why couldn’t I explore? Why wasn’t I allowed the same freedom?
I used to be shy and quiet—quite the opposite of the personality I have today. But traveling changed everything. It reshaped my personality, broadened my horizons, and completely transformed the way I see the world. Today, I’ve traveled to 17 countries—some with friends, some solo—and now I’m living independently in the USA, constantly seeking new experiences and embracing everything life has to offer. Never in my wildest dreams did I imagine I would do all this.
Even now, I sometimes wonder if it’s all a dream. But one thing I know for sure—I want to keep my wings open and keep flying. Because this is what makes me feel alive!
“I know that even greater things lie ahead in my journey. To all the young girls who have been told they can’t—you can, and you must! Step outside those boundaries, chase your dreams, and embrace the world. Because trust me, it’s absolutely worth it!”

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
Entering the IT world was easy for me as I grabbed a placement during last year of my academics, but sustaining was not easy. The past 15 years have been a journey filled with setbacks, unrealized goals, and moments of doubt. While this career path has given me stability, I now feel ready to pursue the other passions that truly light me up—travel blogging, content creation, and giving back to society through meaningful charity work.
Through it all, I’ve discovered my strengths and learned that no profession is ever truly easy. The most valuable lessons? Stay humble, prioritize yourself, and remember—unfinished work is never the end of the world

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Since childhood, I’ve dreamed of experiencing New York with my best friends. Living there—or even just staying for a while—was always a dream. They say it’s the greatest city in the world, and I want to soak in every bit of its energy.
I’d take my friends to the Statue of Liberty, wander through Wall Street, admire the Empire State Building, and walk across the Brooklyn Bridge. At night, we’d lose ourselves in the bright lights of Times Square, indulge in street food, and end the day with a peaceful stroll through Central Park. Just imagining it feels magical!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
“My mother, despite living a cultured and selfless life—devoted to her family—always encouraged me to carve my own path. She once told me, ‘There’s nothing wrong with the life I chose, but I dont want you dedicate your life to others. Go explore, learn, be independent, and create a life that’s truly yours.’
Her words became my strength, pushing me to chase my dreams fearlessly. I am who I am today because of her unwavering support. So here’s to my mother—my biggest inspiration and the reason I dare to live life on my own terms.”
