We had the good fortune of connecting with Christina Seifers and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Christina, how has your work-life balance changed over time?
My work-life balance has evolved significantly over time, especially as I’ve grown older and embraced motherhood. Early in my career, after earning my degree in Marketing and Public Relations, I followed the traditional corporate path—working the standard Monday through Friday, 8-to-5 routine. While it provided stability, I quickly realized that the rigid structure wasn’t aligning with the life I truly wanted.

Becoming a mother changed everything. I wanted to be present for my children, to have the flexibility to prioritize family moments without sacrificing my passion and professional aspirations. Photography has always been something I’ve been deeply passionate about, and I decided to take a leap of faith—leaving the corporate world to build a business that allowed me to create my own schedule while doing what I love.

Running my own photography business has given me the best of both worlds. While entrepreneurship comes with its own challenges—like managing bookings, editing, and client communication—I have the freedom to structure my days in a way that works for my family. Some days are busier than others, but I’ve learned to set boundaries, manage my time efficiently, and carve out moments for both my career and my personal life.

Ultimately, I see work-life balance as an ongoing process rather than a perfect formula. It shifts with different seasons of life, but for me, it’s about ensuring that my work supports the life I want to live—not the other way around.

My approach to photography and editing is all about enhancing the natural beauty of what I see, not altering it. I strive to capture true-to-life colors and authentic moments, using my skills to refine and elevate each image. Rather than changing colors in post-production, I use off-camera flashes to bring out depth, dimension, and vibrancy, ensuring my subjects look polished and professional. This technique allows me to create crisp, dynamic images with a high-end, natural feel—where every detail shines just as it does in real life, only with a sleek and refined touch. I want the world to know that photography is about capturing moments exactly as they are—preserving emotions, light, and details in a way that freezes them in time. It’s not about creating something artificial but about documenting the beauty, the energy, and the authenticity of a fleeting second. A great photograph tells a story, bringing people back to that exact moment, letting them feel the warmth of the sun, the joy of a laugh, or the depth of an expression. My goal as a photographer is to honor these moments, ensuring they live on just as they were, unfiltered and timeless.
