Today we’re excited to be connecting with Danielle Nelson again. If you haven’t already, we suggest you check out our prior conversation with them here.

Danielle , always such a pleasure connecting with you and thank you for sharing your stories, insights and inspiring messages with our community. We’re looking forward to getting the download and what you have been up to since our last interview, but first can you briefly introduce yourself to folks who might have missed the prior conversation.
Hello my name is Danielle Nelson AKA Dani Blendz. I am the creator of Lillie’s Cutz and Stylez LLC. I am the most versatile licensed stylist in Colorado Springs, Colorado. What sets me apart from the rest is my passion for my clients. I express my drive and determination through my work. My clients can ask me to do almost any style and I will do it without question.

I’m currently operating out of my own private suite. This is a huge accomplishment for me. My clients are getting excellent service and a private experience with me. I love it because I can cater to their needs and also express my art and creativity freely. All of my focus is specifically on my clients and there are no distractions from others.

Alright, so our main goal today is to give our audience an update on what you have been up to since our last conversation. We’d love to hear how things are going and what you are most looking forward to or excited about these days.
Things have been going great. Since separating from my previous barbershop, Faded and Braided, I’ve been able to become more independent. The transition from being supported by a barbershop to being in a private suite has been challenging but successful. Becoming my own brand and taking control of my business has been the best decision I’ve made. My skill and creativity has grown tremendously. My confidence has increased knowing that I can thrive on my own. My clients have been a huge support and I am truly grateful.
The focus for me is to provide top tier service for each of my clients, customizing and designing my suite and really putting my best work into the world. The goal is for me to own my own salon/shop one day and I truly believe this is the stepping stone for me to achieve that.

What do you want people to remember about you and your brand? What are some of things that you feel are most important, unique, special, etc?
I want people to remember that my brand is and always will be dedicated to my daughter and my late grandmother. When I decided to take the chance to go to cosmetology school, I lost my grandmother Mary Lillie. Less than a year later, I was blessed to become a mother to my daughter Promise Lillie. Both of these people are the driving factors to my success and my business. I use them as motivation to continue my commitment to my art. I truly love what I do. Being able to create beautiful art and using my clients as models is the best feeling ever. I cannot ask for anything more. I want to pass this business on to my daughter so the grind cannot be stopped.
