Meet Lindsay & Michael | Couple Influencers

We had the good fortune of connecting with Lindsay & Michael and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Lindsay &, what principle do you value most?
The value that matters the most to us is experiences. Through experiences, you grow, learn, and evolve as an individual or as a couple. Since meeting in 2020, under the circumstances of COVID-19 pandemic, our third date was under the social distancing protocol. We found a trail near Michael’s house and we walked for what felt like hours, talking and getting to know each other. Fast-forward to moving out to Colorado 2 years into our relationship, we have explored and experienced great times and challenging times, which forced us to come together as a partnership.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
We developed Life with L & M to document our adventures after moving away from our families and friends. They encouraged this big change in our lives and pushed us to explore and experience more. We are most proud of all the outdoor adventures we have had, from horseback riding in Glacier National Park, Montana, to walking around the San Antonio missions to walking around the southernmost point of the continental USA, Key West, Florida. The one thing our adventures have in common is being in the outdoors. Starting our social media presence was pretty easy due to the open ability to create our profiles with both of our names. The most difficult area was determining the look or the mood around our accounts, coloring, font, etc. We have both had to learn more about the creator side of the social media companies. However, we have more to learn. Our ultimate goal is to connect with those who share our passion and interest in the outdoors and adventures.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Living in Colorado Springs, we have the ultimate itinerary.
Day 1: Flying into Denver, drive out to Rocky Mountain National Park. Check out any hikes in our difficulty level
Eat at: The Eggs of Estes (breakfast), The Grubsteak Restaurant (lunch or dinner)
Coffee at: Kind Coffee
Day 2: Head to Red Rocks Park and Amphitheatre, check out the trails and the unique concert experience in the day time. Drive the rest of the way to Colorado Springs.
Or if you have time attend a concert, it’s a once in a lifetime experience.
Day 3: Get some breakfast at one of Black Bear Diner locations; they have a few in Colorado Springs.
After breakfast, head to Cheyenne Mountain Zoo, where you can get up close to their giraffes and feed them lettuce. It is not BYOL (Bring your own lettuce) they have lettuce there for a small fee.
Have an early dinner at one of the their food places, however our favorite spot to grab food is Pizza with a View! They have a special way to cook their pizza and it is so good.
Day 4: Start off your day at Garden of the Gods park, it is free to go in and out of it. There are so many trails and unique rock formations to explore. Check out their visitor center to get the entire history of the park. After explore the park, head to Red Leg brewing company. They have a great section of food and beers, if you are traveling with little ones they have a great outdoor section for them to play and run around in.
Day 5: Grab some breakfast at the Omelette Parlor on E Fillmore St., their pancakes are massive! Then head to North Cheyenne Canon Park. This is also a free spot to hit the trails for all levels and get to see views above Colorado Springs city. We have hiked so many trails in the park, and we have so many more to do. After you hike around, get cleaned up and grab food in downtown. There are so many restaurants in the downtown area. We enjoy Oskar Blues, Phantom Canyon Brewing Company, and Colorado Craft Social. You HAVE to grab a sweet treat at Josh and John’s. We hands down love this place for ice cream and milkshakes. If you are good at trivia, they have a fun activity of trivia everyday.
Day 6: Leave early in the morning to see the Great Sand Dunes National Park. It’s about a 2.5 hour drive (each way) but it’s like nothing you would see in Colorado. When you think of Colorado, you think of mountains, dirt and trees and snow on the 14ers up until July, haha. But to drive and see massive mounds of sands, it is amazing! Explore the sand dunes for as long or little as you want, there is a shop right outside of the park where you can pick up sand boards to use on the dunes. Be ready for sand to be everywhere!
Day 7: To end your trip to Colorado Springs, you can’t leave without going up to Pikes Peak. This 14ers is one of the 14ers that you can either drive up or take the Cog railway, or if you are feeling up to it or have additional time there are two ways to hike up. Up at Pikes Peak, you will have to try their donuts since they are fried at 14 115′ feet.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
We would like to recognize the entire travel community on social media platforms. Once we made the jump to move across seven states, completely away from our families and friends we discovered the travel community on different social media platforms; i.e. Youtube, Instagram, and Pinterest. After we settled into Colorado, we made another big jump to camp, which we were NOT campers before. However, after our first camping trip to see Yellowstone National Park, we learned about camping and we really enjoy it now. So, the evolution of our story and the drive for our social media presence is due to the traveling community across all the social media platforms. We have learned so much from the bloggers, vloggers, and influencers.
