Meet Hector Saez | Owner/ Coach at Bring It Back Boxing and Fitness

We had the good fortune of connecting with Hector Saez and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Hector, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
My thought process behind starting my own business is rooted in my passion for boxing and fitness, and the desire to make a meaningful impact on people’s lives. I wanted to bring boxing and fitness back to the community as a way of giving people a sense of purpose, strength, and confidence. Boxing has always been a way to challenge myself, grow mentally and physically, and find empowerment. Ultimately, it was about creating an environment where people could transform their lives, much like boxing has transformed mine. Starting this business was my way of giving back to the sport and using it as a tool to change lives.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
What sets my gym apart from others is the focus on quality over quantity. I believe in providing a more personalized experience, where everyone gets the attention and guidance they deserve. It’s not just about getting people in and out, it’s about helping them grow, progress, and achieve their personal goals- whether that’s in boxing or fitness.
I am most proud of my boxing team, seeing them continue to grow, improve, and support one another has been an incredibly fulfilling part of this journey. Watching them push through challenges, grow in confidence, and become better athletes and individuals is something that motivates me each day.
Starting my gym was definitely not easy. It took a lot of trial and error, and I’m still learning every day. One of the biggest lessons I have learned along the way is the importance of people skills, understanding and communicating with people in a way that makes them feel valued and heard. Effective communication and recognizing the needs of others have been key to building strong relationships with my clients and my team.
What I want the world to know about my story is simple: No matter where you come from or how you grow up, you can do whatever you put your mind to. Life is full of challenges, but with hard work, determination, and consistency, anything is possible. Stick to your goals, trust the process, and keep pushing forward. That’s the core of what we do at Bring it Back Boxing and Fitness.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Colorado is full of lots of things to do, If my best friend was coming to town during the summer we would check out some of the local car shows like the Good guys car show. I own a 69 Buick Skylark and enjoy looking at classic cars. Then try some of the city’s diverse food. Some Mongolian Barbeque from Yuan Palace Mongolian BBQ or a delicious steak from Columbines Steak house.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I want to dedicate this shout-out to my mother. Though she is no longer with us, her memory and influence live on every day. She worked incredibly hard throughout her life, and it’s because of her example that I learned the true value of hard work, dedication and perseverance. Everything I do reflects the lessons she instilled in me-her strength, her determination, and her unwavering commitment. I carry those lessons with me in everything I pursue, and I’m forever grateful for the foundation she gave me. Thank you, mom, for everything. Your spirit continues to guide me.
