We had the good fortune of connecting with Alena and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Alena, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
For a long time, I was drawn to creating things with my hands — especially working with natural stones and yarn. It began as a way to relax and express myself creatively, but over time I realized how much joy these handmade pieces brought not only to me, but also to others. I started receiving kind words and encouragement from people who loved the energy, detail, and meaning behind my work. That inspired me to take the next step — to turn my passion into a small business where I could share beauty, care, and intention through every item I create.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
My creative journey began about 10 years ago from a deep love for beauty, nature, and meaning. I just wanted to try, to create something for me. I remember my first bag. It was so beautiful and unique for me….Then I wanted to make more things in different patterns.) This is how my journey in search of new ideas and creations began .
I work with natural stones and yarn — materials that hold warmth, energy, and history — and I turn them into jewelry and handcrafted crochet bags, each with its own character and story. What sets my work apart is the intention behind every piece: I don’t just make accessories — I create meaningful objects that people connect with emotionally.

I’m most proud when someone tells me that my piece brings them comfort, strength, or joy. That emotional connection is what drives me.

The path hasn’t been easy. Like many creatives, I’ve faced self-doubt, limited resources, and the challenge of turning passion into a business. But I kept going — supported by my family and fueled by the belief that handmade things matter. They carry soul and care in a world that often moves too fast.

Along the way, I’ve learned to trust myself, to be patient, and to celebrate progress — even the small steps. I’ve learned that staying true to your style is more important than following trends, and that people can feel when something is made with love.

What I want the world to know is that my brand isn’t just about pretty things — it’s about stories, connection, and intention. Every piece I create holds a little bit of heart — and I’m honored to share that with others.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If my best friend came to visit me in Denver, I’d plan a week full of inspiration and renewal. We’d head to the Rocky Mountains—maybe Estes Park or Evergreen—to hike peaceful trails, breathe in the fresh mountain air, and take in the breathtaking views. Nature here isn’t just beautiful—it helps calm the mind, recharge the spirit, and bring you back to yourself.

We’d stay in a cozy cabin, greet the sunrise with coffee, and maybe sketch or write a little, simply enjoying the moment. Back in Denver, I’d show them the creative side of the city—full of street art, handmade work, and a relaxed, soulful vibe.

Evenings would be for walks, music, good conversation, and watching the sunset. This mix of mountain serenity and local creativity is what makes this place so special. It’s easy to feel inspired, warm, and alive here.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Absolutely. First and foremost, my husband — he believes in me wholeheartedly and supports every idea I come up with. His encouragement gives me the strength and confidence to keep moving forward, even when things get challenging. And my children — their excitement and admiration for what I create mean the world to me. They often ask me to make something just for them, and that simple joy reminds me why I started creating in the first place. Their love and belief in me are a big part of what keeps my creative spirit alive.
