Hi Rachel, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
Why did I start Beautifully You Boutique? Honestly, it all comes down to passion—my passion for helping women feel as amazing on the inside as they look on the outside, without ever having to sacrifice comfort. As a busy mom myself, I remember all too well the hunt for pieces that were both effortlessly chic and comfy enough to chase after little ones (or grab that extra cup of coffee!). I dreamed of a place where every piece feels like a gentle hug, yet makes you stand a little taller—and that’s exactly why I opened my doors.

I believe that true confidence isn’t about squeezing into something that looks good but feels stiff or constricting. It’s about slipping into clothes that move with you, flatter your shape, and reflect your unique style—whether you’re running errands, meeting friends for brunch, or dancing in the living room with your kids. Every soft, dreamy dress and every flattering, timeless top in the boutique is handpicked or designed to lift your spirits and boost your confidence, all while keeping you cozy.

At the end of the day, I started this business because I wanted to create a little haven of warmth, encouragement, and effortless style—a place where women of every shape, size, and season of life can feel celebrated and beautiful, just as they are. Helping you feel and look your absolute best, with comfort front and center, is what lights me up every single day.

What Sets Me Apart
A Built-In Passion for Inclusivity: From day one, my focus has been on celebrating curves of every shape and size. As a fashion design graduate who dreamed of making waves in the plus-size world, I know firsthand how powerful it feels to slip into something that truly flatters—and how rare it can be to find those perfect pieces.
Hands-On Industry Experience: Between styling magazine shoots in NYC and designing in fast-paced studios, I’ve seen the industry inside out—the good, the glitzy, and the not-so-glamorous. That blend of big-city know-how and real-world empathy means I curate collections that bridge runway inspiration with everyday life.

My Professional Journey
Learning the Ropes at IADT – I graduated with a Bachelor’s in Fashion Design & Marketing, eager to dive into every corner of style.
NYC Styling & Design – I cut my teeth on editorial shoots and runway shows, building friendships and unforgettable memories… but also navigating long nights in an environment that tested my mental well-being.
A Beautiful Pivot – I pressed pause, shifted into the beauty industry for five years, and then welcomed my son into the world. Taking time off to be a mom‍—and then joining Annmarie Skin Care—gave me space to recharge and learn the power of self-care.
Finding My Village – At Annmarie, I discovered what true support looks like: mentors who uplift, teammates who celebrate wins, and a leadership team that champions growth. Those experiences inspired me to build the same culture here at Beautifully You.
Overcoming Challenges
It wasn’t always easy. Between battling burnout in a tough corporate setting and juggling motherhood with career ambitions, I learned that asking for help isn’t a weakness—it’s a superpower. I leaned on mentors, prioritized mental health, and celebrated every small victory (even if it was just finishing a to-do list!).

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Imagine this: you’re standing on the red sandstone steps of Red Rocks Amphitheatre as twilight paints the sky in shades of coral and lavender. The first notes of the band drift through the open-air venue, echoing off those majestic stone walls—it’s pure magic, the kind of experience that gives you goosebumps and makes you feel alive.

After the encore, we’d wind our way up into the mountains, trading city lights for star-filled skies. Picture pulling into a quaint mountain town—think timber-frame cabins, string lights twinkling overhead, and that crisp alpine air that feels like a hug. We’d spend lazy afternoons curled up with hot coffee on a sun-drenched deck, gazing at towering peaks dusted in pine and pondering life’s simple joys.

And of course, no trip would be complete without slipping into a steamy hot springs pool. As you sink into the mineral-rich waters, all the tension of daily life drifts away, leaving you utterly relaxed and refreshed. Whether you’re soaking under a winter sky full of stars or surrounded by wildflowers in summer, it’s the perfect pause button on the world.

That’s the Colorado I want you to fall in love with—the rhythm of live music at Red Rocks, the peaceful charm of a mountain hideaway, and the soul-soothing warmth of the springs. Pure bliss, from start to finish.
