We had the good fortune of connecting with Devon Carrillo and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Devon, any advice for those thinking about whether to keep going or to give up?
I have a very strong drive and a very hard work ethic, it makes me extremely motivated. Failure is not an option.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
What set me a part from others is being a technician turned business owner with a vast array of skills and the willingness to go above and beyond for a repair or installation. I got to where I am with the encouragement of friends and fellow business owners who saw my skills and know who I am as a person. It wasn’t easy, it took many conversations and a good push to take the “leap of faith”. I have made many connections in the valley over the last 15 years I have lived in Gunnison, those connections have allowed my business to thrive by word of mouth, people knowing my skills, and my work ethic.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
They better love the outdoors, because we are going biking at Hartman Rocks and getting coffee after at Double Shot Cyclery. The lunch spots we would hit up are Marios, The Dive, and Powerstop. Crested Butte has even more great restaurants and biking trails. I love to shoot archery at Beaver Creek.
