Meet Courtney Trocinski | Pelvic Floor Therapist & Birth Doula

We had the good fortune of connecting with Courtney Trocinski and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Courtney, what’s something about your industry that outsiders are probably unaware of?
Most people don’t realize that pelvic floor therapy is for everyone. Every person has a pelvic floor – regardless of sex – and anyone can experience unwanted pelvic floor symptoms and benefit from pelvic floor therapy! The ability of the pelvic floor to function optimally is so interconnected with every system in our body – digestive, bladder, bowel, sexual, circulatory, musculoskeletal, and the nervous system – to name a few. This means that many symptoms are often overlooked as related to pelvic floor dysfunction. Back pain, constipation, plantar fasciitis and jaw pain are just a few common complaints that we see connected to the pelvic floor.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
OWN Your Pelvic Health is a pelvic floor therapy clinic rooted in the belief that women deserve better care. While everyone has a pelvic floor, we specialize in women’s health, specifically in the fertility, prenatal, and postpartum seasons of life. These are the times when proactive care makes the biggest impact, but they’re also the times when our healthcare system and education tend to fall short.
I can’t tell you how many times I’ve had friends say they had no idea painful periods weren’t normal, or that their doctor brushed off concerns about painful sex or bladder leakage. That lack of education and support is exactly why we do this work. We’re here to change the narrative – to help women feel heard, educated, and empowered through every season of life.
What sets us apart is that we don’t just focus on symptoms. We take a whole-person, nervous system first approach. The pelvic floor doesn’t function in isolation, and we know that healing happens most effectively when the nervous system feels safe and supported. We help clients understand their bodies, make informed choices, and access care that actually supports their goals – whether that’s reducing pain, improving bladder control, or getting back to running after having a baby.
Our goal isn’t just to resolve symptoms – it’s to help people reach optimal wellness & stay well throughout their lifetime.
We think of it like the dentist: nobody questions going twice a year to check in on oral health, but no one else is checking on your pelvic floor. We believe everyone deserves access to wellness-based pelvic care, so you can stay ahead of any symptoms, catch things early, and feel empowered in your body for the long run.
Business-wise, this has been a roller coaster of a journey. Figuring out how to hire, lead a team, plan community events, and grow sustainably has been a huge learning curve. I fail hard the first time I do anything new. But I’ve had amazing support, and over time I’ve built a team and community I’m incredibly proud of.
Today, OWN Your Pelvic Health is home to three pelvic floor therapists, two client care coordinators, four birth doulas, two postpartum doulas, and we share space with a pediatric OT, pediatric PT, lactation consultant, and two personal trainers. Together, we offer full-spectrum wellness for women and children – all under one roof.
At the end of the day, I want the world to know this: women’s symptoms are real. They’re valid. And help exists. You shouldn’t have to suffer in silence or be told “that’s normal”. We’re here to make sure you don’t have to.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Whenever someone comes to visit, I try to give them the best of food, drink, movement & the mountains.
We certainly would spend some time eating and drinking our way down Tennyson Street. A first Friday in the summer is a perfect way to check out all the local businesses & find some great deals. And OWN Your Pelvic Health is just a few blocks from Tennyson on 38th, so we would definitely stop in for a tour & to see the team.
Nederland and Isabelle Lake would make great day trips to get into the mountains to enjoy some paddle boarding or hiking in the summer. In the winter, we’d definitely spend a few days skiing or wandering around our favorite mountain towns.
We also wouldn’t miss a concert at red rocks and a Sunday morning farmers market on 32nd.
Some favorite restaurants/bars/coffee shops: Temaki Den, Bakery Four, Safta, Convivio, Vin Rouge.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
There are so many people who deserve credit for where I am today. As a pelvic health occupational therapist, my passion has always been working one-on-one with individuals to get to the root of their pelvic floor symptoms and help them achieve optimal wellness in every part of their lives. But running a business is a whole different skill set, and it didn’t come naturally to me.
I didn’t study business. I’m not a numbers person by nature. The only reason OWN Your Pelvic Health exists in a sustainable, thriving way is because of the support I’ve had along the way. My husband has been a sounding board for every challenge and pivot, and the mentorship I’ve received through my business group gave me the tools and confidence to take big leaps. From hiring and managing a team to planning community events and expanding our impact, I’ve grown into a role I never imagined myself in.
And now, our team is the reason we are who we are. What started as a solo practice has grown into a collective of passionate, brilliant providers. Together, we offer the full spectrum of wellness for women and children in one place – and none of it would be possible without the support, trust, and collaboration of this community.
