We had the good fortune of connecting with Tiana Renee and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Tiana, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
I believe the most important factor behind the success of Miori Luxury Spa and The Lounge at Miori is authenticity.
In a world where so many people are trying to imitate what others are doing, there is something incredibly powerful about staying true to who you are. People may be able to copy your ideas, your services, or even your business model, but they can never copy your spirit, your story, or the unique gifts you were created to bring into the world.
I truly believe that authenticity opens doors. It attracts the right people, creates meaningful connections, and allows you to build something that is deeply aligned with your purpose. We are each called to walk our own path and use the gifts that were specifically designed for us.
Miori Luxury Spa and The Lounge at Miori are a reflection of my heart. Every detail has been intentionally created with love—from the services we offer to the atmosphere we cultivate. The plants, the artwork, the family photographs, the candlelight, the music, and even the brushstrokes of paint on the walls all tell a story. Nothing was mass-produced or created simply to follow a trend. It was handcrafted with care, intention, and genuine love.
I believe people can feel that when they walk through our doors. They aren’t just experiencing a service; they’re stepping into an environment that was created from the heart. And when you lead with authenticity and love, people connect with that in a way that cannot be manufactured.
At the end of the day, our greatest competitive advantage is simply being ourselves.

What should our readers know about your business?
If you had told me years ago that I would become a business owner, I probably wouldn’t have believed you. My dream was to work in film and entertainment as a producer and director. Perhaps that door will open again someday, but for now, God has called me to a different kind of production—creating environments where people can heal, reconnect with themselves, and experience peace.
Today, I am the founder of Miori Luxury Spa and The Lounge at Miori, a wellness sanctuary dedicated to nervous system regulation, self-care, and helping people remember their worth. What sets us apart is that we don’t simply provide spa services—we create experiences that nurture the mind, body, and spirit.
This journey has not been easy. For the past seven years, I have faced significant health challenges that forced me to slow down and look inward. Through that process, I learned the power of nervous system regulation and discovered tools that transformed my life: breathwork, prayer, meditation, time in nature, healing my inner child through reparenting, and learning to trust God completely. I had to believe that if He placed a vision in my heart, He would also provide the provision to bring it to life.
Many of the practices and philosophies that helped me heal have become the foundation of my business. I am passionate about educating people on the importance of regulating the nervous system because I know firsthand how profoundly it can impact physical, emotional, and mental well-being.
What makes me the happiest is seeing clients leave feeling lighter, calmer, and more connected to themselves than when they arrived. Every guest who walks through our doors receives more than a service. They receive intentional care. From a handwritten card, to a cup of butterfly pea flower tea, to selecting a rose to take home, every detail is designed to remind them that they are seen, valued, and worthy of love and care.
At its core, Miori is about helping people remember their beauty, their value, and their ability to heal. My hope is that every person who enters our space leaves feeling a little more connected to themselves, a little more hopeful, and a little more loved.
If there is one lesson I have learned along the way, it is this: sometimes the greatest challenges become the very thing that prepares you to fulfill your purpose. My struggles became my teacher, my healing became my mission, and today that mission is shared with every person who walks through our doors.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If my best friend were visiting for a week, the first place I would take her probably wouldn’t be found in any travel guide. It would be my sacred river—a quiet place tucked away in the mountains where I go to pray, reflect, visualize, and reconnect with myself. I won’t reveal the exact location because some places are meant to remain sacred, but it is one of my favorite places on earth. The sound of the water, the fresh mountain air, and the stillness of nature have been some of my greatest teachers. It’s where I go to ground myself and remember what truly matters.
After spending time in nature, we would head back to The Lounge at Miori. We would put on some jazz or maybe a little J Dilla, open a bottle of wine, and spend the evening dancing, laughing, and talking about life. I may be a little biased, but I genuinely believe there is no place quite like The Lounge at Miori. It was created to be the kind of space I always wished existed—a place where people can gather, connect, relax, and simply enjoy being present.
As for restaurants, attractions, and nightlife, I may not be the best person to ask. The truth is, I don’t go out much anymore. Over the years, I’ve learned that my favorite places aren’t necessarily the trendiest or most popular—they’re the places where I feel most at peace.
Which brings me to the final stop on the itinerary: home. There is something incredibly special about creating a home that feels safe, comforting, and restorative. These days, some of my favorite moments are the simplest ones—sharing a meal, having meaningful conversations, listening to music, or sitting quietly with the people I love.
If there’s one thing my itinerary reveals about me, it’s that I value experiences over destinations. Give me a beautiful river, good music, meaningful connection, and a place that feels like home, and I couldn’t ask for anything more.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Absolutely. I would love to dedicate my shoutout to the Wayans family.
For much of my adult life, I worked in the entertainment and film industry as a personal assistant to Marlon Wayans. During that time, I had the privilege of witnessing firsthand what excellence, discipline, creativity, and hard work truly look like. The Wayans family didn’t just influence my career—they helped shape the person and business owner I am today.
One of the greatest lessons they taught me was that your name is your brand and your legacy. Excellence isn’t something you turn on and off; it’s a standard you carry into everything you do. Whether it’s a major project or a small detail that no one else may notice, you give it your best because it reflects who you are.
What inspired me most was watching them take an idea that existed only in their minds and bring it into physical reality through discipline, creativity, vision, and relentless execution. They showed me that success isn’t just about having great ideas—it’s about having the courage, consistency, and work ethic to bring those ideas to life. Seeing that process up close changed the way I view entrepreneurship, creativity, and what’s possible when you commit to a vision.
Even today, as I build Miori Luxury Spa and The Lounge at Miori, I often hear Marlon’s voice in my head reminding me, “Don’t be lazy.” It always makes me smile, but it also reminds me to stay focused, work hard, and never cut corners. Those lessons became part of my foundation.
I am incredibly grateful to the Wayans family for the opportunities, mentorship, and example they provided. They helped instill the work ethic, resilience, and commitment to excellence that continue to guide me every day. Their influence reaches far beyond entertainment—it helped prepare me for leadership, responsibility, and the journey of building something meaningful and lasting.
I wouldn’t be who I am today without those experiences, and for that, I will always be thankful.
