We had the good fortune of connecting with Giovana Bier and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Giovana, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
I always loved numbers, and I consider myself a creative person. Being around creatives, I noticed that they were terrified of numbers. That’s when I decided to serve the creative community. The goal is to give my clients the confidence that they know their finances, they are pricing their products and services accordingly and they have a profitable and intentional business. The thought was really to lean into my qualities, and what is really joyful to me.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
My Cats and Me Bookkeeping is a Bookkeeping and Money Coach Boutique company that focuses on building businesses that support lifestyles. We live in a day and age that being “busy” is regarded as being of value. But… what if we can work from a place of rest? What if we can build a business that allows us to be more cat? You know… Being able to say “no”, have clear boundaries, ask for what you deserve, and enjoy the sunshine. MC+M is in a mission to have more wealthy creatives entrepreneurs. With more wealth, we can create a better world.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
A weekend trip to the mountains! Stop at the Loveland Pass, walk downtown Breck and go out for lunch at Sweet Basil in Vail (their whipped feta is to die for) and dinner at Alpen Rose (the atmosphere is just amazing – the food incredible). Back to the city, we’d take a few day trips: to Evergreen, to Boulder, Colorado Springs, Golden. And hit a few of the nice spots: Garden of Gods, Red Rocks, etc. I love good food: So we would definitely have a nice dinner out at Mercantile. We’d go eat at Aroma fo Brazil (the best home-made Brazilian restaurant) and pizza from Woodpaddle Pizza. Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
