We had the good fortune of connecting with Kaliyah Stevens and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Kaliyah, every day, we about how much execution matters, but we think ideas matter as well. How did you come up with the idea for your business?
So the idea I came up with for my business was basically just to show off how I feel whether it’s how I’m feeling happy I’m feeling anxious I’m feeling nervous etc. it really shows off in my expression way I dress to wear to my hair make up so I just wanted to basically express myself through my business because I love the glitz I love the glam, yeah I also love the grunginess the casual day I’m going to wear hoodies and sweatpants and probably a pair of heels look.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
When I started my journey I was working at Jim’s as a front desk girl I love working out I also love everything about fitness and you know building your own physique. Then becoming a beauty artist at Lancome and then moving on to Morphe he really busted me out of my shell to show like this is the creative that I was meant to be.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Anyone is coming to visit me in Jersey whether it’s my cousins a good friend whoever I am going to show them all the good spots because I love food I am a big foodie so I’m gonna show them all the good food spots where the snacks are I love bubble tea with the best bubble tea is also going to different little art shows little galleries and that’s really what I’m into and there’s a lot of hole in the wall places that a lot of people don’t really know of that are really exciting and doesn’t break the pocket and give you memories to last a lifetime.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
First in for most I want to thank my mother for basically putting up with all of my antics and being my number one supporter and fan and always back me up on whatever idea come up with whether I’m changing in the next two days I’m sticking it out she’s always been my rider. Second I want to thank my sister my baby sister Amira she is literally my idol I am seven years older than her but I look up to her and she’s every bit of me ever being that I hopefully one day will be.
