Meet Keith Wood | Rapper

We had the good fortune of connecting with Keith Wood and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Keith, why did you decide to pursue a creative path?
The reason I chose to persue making music is because it’s the one thing I can express myself in the most. It’s like having a therapist but just having a conversation with yourself and being able to express yourself more than you could with some random person.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
My art, craft, profession, everything I put into my music it’s all from my heart it’s all real I don’t make any of it up. The one thing I’m most proud of is the album “A Better Place” I had just dropped a week and a half ago and I’m excited to get back in the lab and keep cookin. How I got to where I am today is just consistently working and figuring new ways I can express myself that I haven’t already. It wasn’t easy, there was times when I wanted to quit, I didn’t wanna make music but I realized maybe I’m one song away from actually being noticed and being put on to the bigger music scene. I’ve learned that even if it’s just 10 people or 1000 people listening to my music it might actually help someone get through what they’re going through and that’s the sh*t that makes me happy. I’ve learned everyone’s opinion doesn’t matter and the one that does the most is mine. I want the world to know that instead of knocking each other down pick each other up because at the end of the day we are all goin through something and you’ll realize that we can make it a better place. I want you guys to know that I’m not gonna stop till I’m 6 ft deep. That’s how much I love music and just want the best for me and the people that are in my corner

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
The best time ever ? There’s so many to pick from but if I had to choose one place it would definitely be a concert at red rocks. It’s an experience I can’t put into words you just have to see it for yourself. If we eating we definitely gonna hit cd’s and grab some wings I think they’re some of the best wings around. honestly anywhere with my best friend would be a dope spot to chill… wouldn’t matter what we did or where we went because I know it’s gonna be a good a*s time. Just Colorado as a whole is a fun exciting place to go visit you can always find something to do if it was open id say to check out the alpine slide but it’s been closed for years now.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My parents for one they have been and always will be my biggest supporters, I also wanna thank my family, no this does not mean my blood family because family goes deeper than that. Everyone that’s been in my life has always played their part good or bad and I would Not be who I am without everyone. I wanna thank my brothers for pushing me to become a artist! There was times I never thought of making music ever let alone think of being a artist (musician) and these guys pushed me and I couldn’t be more thankful.
