We had the good fortune of connecting with Alison Lebofsky and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Alison, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
I always knew I wanted to create beautiful things for this world that were intentional, and from the heart. After college, I found myself working a 9-5 graphic design job at a reputable jewelry company (business name disclosed). This was a place in my life that broke me and built me all at the same time. I became depressed – fueled by the abuse of my manager, a toxic work environment, along with a soul that was desperately seeking to be creative without limits. I turned this depression into fuel and started a graphic design company called Perspektiiv Design Co. I focused on working with entrepreneurs and small businesses because I was inspired by their passion and drive to create for themselves. It’s now been 7 years since the creation of Perspektiiv Design Co., and I could not be more grateful for the journey. My story in this business has been an entrepreneur’s rollercoaster of failing, learning, and growing. I’ve now found myself in a place where my passion for business and art is fulfilled – and my team and I get to work with entrepreneurs and small businesses every day that are taking their leap of faith to start or grow the business they’ve always dreamed of.
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
Here at Perspektiiv Design Co. we pride ourselves on personable communication, high-quality deliverables, and longevity in the items we create. Immersed in the world of start-ups, entrepreneurs, and small businesses, our work reflects a balance of art, marketing, and design psychology. We believe that strong design starts with mindful strategy, and begin all of our services by immersing ourselves in your business as integral members of your team. We develop a strategy that dives deeply into what you truly want out of your business (and life) and create meaningful design from there.
We are a team of design pro’s – and we love working with our clients on strong brand identities. But we don’t just stop there. We’re available for our client’s growth – assisting them with everything they might need in the future from packaging and websites to social media and signage. We create the full design studio experience and really care about our client’s goals and dreams.
Getting to where we are wasn’t easy – and we had to be very selective of the clients we took on as we continued to grow. Over the years, we’ve curated a clientele that is a dream to work with. Breweries, artists, wellness studios, pet food companies, cannabis agencies, and more, our clients are passionate, driven, and so fun to work with.
We’ve learned along the way that it’s important to only say “yes” to an opportunity that is a HELL YES! If it’s not a hell yes, it’s a no. This helps keep our studio creative, energized, and focused.
We want the world to know that creating the business of your dreams is so attainable – and that outsourcing and delegating is one of the most important things you can do to ensure success in your journey. We’ve worked with 200+ small businesses and entrepreneurs to bring their brands and designs to life, and will be here for you when you need us.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I’m dedicating my shout-out to my amazing business coach – Rosemary Brensen, the founder of Department of Community. Over the past year, my business has grown very quickly, and she has been my rock, supporting me in hiring an amazing team to support me, getting past mindful hurtles, and creating a dream future for myself and my business.
