We had the good fortune of connecting with Ally Nyman and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Ally, what is the most important factor behind your success?
The most important factor would be the unique experience I was able to gain prior to creating my own success. I had the opportunity to work in the elite sports world, where I was surrounded by the best, learned from some of the best and was able to put my work to the ultimate test. This experience humbled me, helped me grow, and gave me a perspective that I believe now is the most important factor to my success.

What should our readers know about your business?
My business is called Holistic-ally Massage. The idea behind my business was to show people the extreme sides of Massage Therapy and how beautifully they can work together. I come from the sports industry and the medical world. When I moved to Colorado, I started to surround myself with more of the holistic side of massage. This is when I realized, if I mixed the knowledge I have from the sports/medical world with the knowledge I was gaining from the holistic world I could give my clients the most beneficial treatment. Of course there was a lot of sweat and tears along the way. But I realized, when I started to put my energy into the right places, life has a way of coming together and showing you everything is going to work out and with that I could create my own successful business.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
What a fun question! I love the summer time in Fort Collins, so I am imagining my best friend visiting me in the nice warm months of summer. I would start with an early morning, catching the sunrise driving along Horsetooth Reservoir on our way to a short and sweet hike in Lory State Park. I would then take them to brunch at Lucile’s followed by window shopping throughout Old Town. Of course we would have to stop by a few of the breweries in town–since we do have more than 20 craft breweries in the area. I love sushi, so I would have to take them by Nori Maki Sushi Bar for dinner and introduce them to the friendly owner Jon. To end the night I would definitely see who is performing at either the Mishawaka or the infamous Red Rocks Amphitheatre, both with breathtaking views. This day would be followed by a self care day consisting of yoga at Meraki Yoga Studio and a treatment at Holistically Inspired, with Holly the most talented acupuncturist.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I want to give a huge shoutout to my first mentor in Scottsdale, AZ. She is a successful business owner and a phenomenal Massage Therapist. She taught me to stay humble, treat everyone we meet with the same respect and let our skills speak for themselves. I would also love to give a shoutout to my parents, family and lifelong friends who have supported me through it all, wouldn’t be where I am without them.
