Meet Amber Norfleet | Balloon Stylist & Body Artist

We had the good fortune of connecting with Amber Norfleet and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Amber, why did you decide to pursue a creative path?
Being creative fuels my soul. I have worked many types of jobs and with each one came an emptiness and a feeling that there was something else. I don’t have those feelings when I create, which reassures me that my journey is in the right direction.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I am never stagnant in my work and art. Ever. I continually challenge myself to be better than I was yesterday. Which is another reason why I love to be creative, as there is always a new trend or technique to accomplish! I will observe, analyze and critique every job! Looking for ways on how I can improve, what I can do differently and how I can accomplish more with my presentations. With being true to form, as my business name states, I strive to have courage and challenge myself so that I continually grow and learn. Even if it’s the slightest little change. Because sometimes it’s the little things that make the biggest impact.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
We love to support local. From boutique stores, mom and pop shops, restaurants, eateries, breweries and bouch to going up into the mountains and finding a great air b&b or cabin by the river. I couldn’t let anyone new to the area go back home without an amazing hike in the mountains to a beautiful open space lake with calendar views! And a trip through Trail Ridge Road in the Rocky Mountains is a must!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My shoutout certainly goes to my biggest supporter(s), my husband and our children! My husband encourages me, gives me strength when I am weak, he reminds me that ‘if it were easy, everyone would be doing it’ when the days are hard and the nights are long and he gives me the best, loving hugs when I need it the most. A couple years after we had our first child, I found myself needing something to help my sanity (as a sahm this can be very challenging) and he is the one that surprised me with a face painting kit and a how to book. And here we are. Our oldest (who is 10 now), is truly my own personal cheerleader!! She is always next to me, letting me know that I am doing a great job! She jumps up and down and claps for me when she see’s my finished products, even when I’m being my own worst critic, she makes me see the good in my accomplishments. And our youngest (who’s 3 at the moment) who always loves to help! She keeps me on my toes and reminds me that I need to stay in shape in order to be a mompreneur! She’s really good at that!!
