We had the good fortune of connecting with Andrew Sams and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Andrew, what is the most important factor behind your success?
I have to attribute the majority of my success to the incredible team of inspectors, administrators, and technicians that represents Alpine Building Performance, LLC as a company. I started this business in 2016 as a solo venture and I worked tirelessly which allowed me to achieve early growth. That growth brought me to a point where I could start building a team. We have come a long way since then and there’s no way that we would be where we are today without the collective effort, hard work, and dedication of our entire company.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Alpine Building Performance, LLC is a modern home inspection and commercial property inspection business serving the Denver Metro area. We take an education-based approach with our clients that helps them navigate the physical aspects of buying a property and helping homeowners get the most out of their dwelling. Utilizing our knowledge of building science, construction, and home performance we are positioned to offer our clients the added value of helping to ensure a healthy, safe and comfortable, home.

The home inspection industry is evolving and we strive to be at the forefront of progress in our industry. In addition to utilizing our modern software, Spectora, we believe that advanced technology should be a standard part of the inspection process. Technology such as thermal imaging, drone photography, and homeowner maintenance reminder automation are included in our standard service. Many other inspection companies charge more for these value adds, but we don’t. These technologies benefit our clients and we are committed to offering the absolute best service to our clients.

Although we are modern in our technology and approach to inspections, our business is conducted based on old fashion values. Our relationship with our clients is extremely important to us and we recognize that their home purchase is most often the single largest investment they will ever make. Our role is to not only provide them with a detailed and informative inspection report but to be their personal home consultant and educator. Younger generations especially are lacking in the knowledge required to operate and maintain a home and we love being a helpful resource for any of our client’s needs.

When you ask how our business got to where it is today, I truly believe that it’s in large part due to our commitment to our clients. Although customer service shouldn’t be considered something that sets a business apart, it’s unfortunately not something that all companies are focused on. This seems to be especially true when it comes to the home services industry. We have an extremely high standard of how we conduct business and I proud to say that it’s evident in our client reviews and feedback.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
This is a difficult question to answer as there are so many great options we have here in Denver. I personally think it’s hard to beat a good bike ride on a sunny Denver day, so I would take a friend/s on a bike tour of the city and all the great neighborhoods we have. Some of my favorites spots would be Tennyson Street, The Highlands, Platte Park, and RiNo.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I have expressed my gratitude for my team internally that has allowed us to reach our current level of growth and success, but we couldn’t do it without our amazing clients and network of real estate agents that fuel our demand. Much of our early success and continued success to this day can be attributed to the Denver Metro Association of REALTORS (DMAR). DMAR is the largest local REALTOR association in Colorado and is focused on the advancement and protection of the real estate industry. The network of REALTORS and affiliate members has been inspiring, influential, and a critical element in building Alpine Building Performance, LLC. DMAR has an active, energetic, and progressive member base and wonderful groups such as the DMAR YPN group that help connect and educate members. I can’t talk about our growth without giving DMAR a shoutout.
