We had the good fortune of connecting with Angela Harris and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Angela, what is the most important factor behind your success?
The most important factor to the success of a business and/or brand is building a supportive team FIRST – one that values and practices discipline, resiliency, and time management alongside you. Don’t ever forget the critical path of identifying others’ strengths, trusting in those abilities, and celebrating the ‘wins,’ together.

Is it going to be easy? No. But, is it going to be worth it? Yes. Have no fear. Take calculated risks and surround yourself with incredibly talented people that you trust. Synergy is incredibly important to the success of a business and brand.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
90% of our time is spent indoors, so one can conclude that there must be a critical connection between the built environment, design, art, and wellbeing, at least that’s the way I see it at a very fundamental level. The connection between art and wellness, in my opinion, is unmistakable. I firmly believe that there are many positive health impacts in both creating art and experiencing art.

With that said, I launched my product and lifestyle brand, Bode & Well, with the goal of
promoting wellness in spaces all around the world. I was so excited to launch The Bode & Well Collection by Angela Harris just this past month in collaboration with one of the largest wall art decor manufacturers in the country, Paragon & Propac. The collection consists of 43 art pieces that draw on elements of science and design, like biophilia and visual complexity, to awaken our innate understanding of beauty found in the world around us. The pieces are playful and elegant, layered with unexpected elements, and inspired by nature and wonder.

Through TRIO, Bode & Well and By Angela Harris, I hope to continue educating and inspiring, creating beauty and focusing on well-being in spaces around the world.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Head up to Aspen, Telluride, and Granby for all things hiking, biking, skiing snowboarding, and paddle boarding. Looking to grab some dinner and drinks? Stop by The Bindery for lunch and Cherry Creek Grill for a great dinner.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I would absolutely give credit to my family, my team, and our incredible partners for my success and the success of our businesses. I’m surrounded by the most supportive, loving, and talented group of people, and some of the nation’s top builders and developers who all believe in the collective effort to design and build better communities. We certainly wouldn’t be where we are today without our fantastic partnerships, and I am so grateful for our knockout team and my amazing family.
