Hi Areina, is your business focused on helping the community? If so, how?
My business, Orange Moon Massage & Holistic Healing, provides my community and world around me with space and support to gain new self-awareness and lead to self-development and improvement that changes the quality of their lives and all the people in their outer world. Attuned, present, compassionate, and safe touch can heal and bring more harmony to the mind, body, and soul. It can lead to profound breakthrough and rewiring of emotional and physical patterns and conditioning that are a result to our experience in a human body/life. Meeting a individual exactly where they are at can provide the safety needed for them to explore their inner worlds and release blockages, limited beliefs, connect experiences with feelings in their bodies and establish a true connection with their bodies and conscious mind. When this connection between our bodies and conscious mind is established, we can make decisions and take action from a much more embodied and ground state that ultimately serves everyone we come in contact with.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Orange Moon Massage & Holistic Healing is a business that offers holistic and individualized health care through the modalities of integrated massage therapy, energy work, and the use of medicinal herbal topicals. Our intention with our care is to empower and remind our clients of their own body’s ability to heal when given the proper space, education, and intention. We do this through intentional treatment plans that are adaptable and cater to each individual’s current state/abilities and goals, with guidance of professional knowledge and heart-led intuition. This standard of care that we provide is what excites us the most because it leads to profound internal and external change in our clients’ lives that we get to witness in real time. Getting to this point in my business has not been without hardships, many late nights, and countless hours marketing and networking any chance I get. One of the biggest things that I did not see coming with owning a business is how much self-development, honesty, and devotion to self-improvement it requires of you to show up day after day to make it happen, even when it seems as if NOTHING is happening. It has shown me my self-limiting beliefs, challenged me to remain consistent, and pushed me to step into my leadership to show up fully for myself and all the people I hold space for. This brand that I am building is truly my soul put out there for the world. It holds the essence of all the hard work that my people before have put in before me, so that I can be in the place I am today with all of these privileges. No one in my family before me has done what I’m doing. The work I offer, isn’t something my community has been exposed to fully. This business of mine is just a representation and expression of source, creator, the universe, god’s plan and love for me, my family, and all those that I come in contact with through this work. With this in mind, I try my best to do my part as a channel for this divine energy to work its magic in this crazy world.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Oh how I love to PLAY. We’re talking good eats, better views, live music, foraging, hiking, mini road trips, and of course some hot springs. Let’s start at Margie’s Java Joint, grab a coffee and catch up on it all because the vibes are amazing and they always have good music in the air. We’ll make our way to Frida’s tacos food truck for some of the best birria tacos. Then we’ll head down to Red Rocks in Morrison, CO. or even the mission ballroom for some booty bouncing bass in your face and lasers that go crazy. We’ll sleep it off and wake up for a morning hike that takes us about 11k feet up where the mushrooms are in full effect and the lakes are perfect for the cold plunge that’s going to get those dancing feet feeling better. We’ll spend a day in the woods exploring and marveling, maybe cook up a foraged lunch with some yummy finds. Just resetting before heading down to visit our friends in Telluride, CO. because of course you flew in for the Telluride Mushroom Festival! We’ll jam out and take a break at all the view points along the way on our 7 hour drive there. We’ll spend the next few days learning, hiking, foraging, and being in one of my favorite communities in one of my favorite places. We’ll end our trip with the giant mushroom parade and dance the night away with the fam. Before you get on that plane, we’ll stop at Orvis Hot springs where the clothes are optional and the lithium water is all natural. Then we’ll ugly cry at the airport until we see each other next.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
There are truly too many people that come to mind that I am so grateful to have had their support, guidance, and loving encouragement. My family and friends have truly been my rocks in this journey of entrepreneurship. My parents, Robert & Antonia truly do deserve all the applause for the support they have offered me. If it wasn’t for their constant belief and support in my dreams and ideas and assistance with housing I would have never been able to dive all in to getting my business off of the ground and allow for it to expand at the accelerated pace it has. Not many have the privilege of not worrying about paying rent or a mortgage while trying to make their dreams happen and be sustainable and I recognize this. My parents have been able to show me what a dedicated work ethic and a curious mind can get you so I’ve been utilizing this to take full advantage of this privilege I’ve been blessed with.
