We had the good fortune of connecting with Aspen Furubotten and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Aspen, what is the most important factor behind your success?
I am still very new to entrepreneurship, and the esthetics industry, but I believe that continuing education is (and will be) a major factor to my success. While those words of wisdom may be cliché, I truly believe that investing time & money into continuing education keeps your business lucrative & provides your clients with the most cutting edge services and information on the market.

What should our readers know about your business?
I am the owner & esthetician of Aspen Furubotten Aesthetics. I completed my 1200 hour Master Aesthetics Course at the National Institute of Medical Aesthetics in South Jordan, Utah. While I love all things beauty, my passion falls in the result-driven niche of esthetics. I have always struggled with acne & come from a family history of severe skin cancer. Providing accessible education and services tailored to skincare as a career is a dream come true for me!

Aspen Furubotten Aesthetics will have a new home at the end of this month. I am thrilled about the opportunity to expand my business to a new location and confident that this new location will align perfectly with my vision for Aspen Furubotten Aesthetics. While I acknowledge the risk and commitment I am making as a young entrepreneur, I believe it is well worth the challenges to come.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Cedaredge, Colorado is a little gem here on the western slope. I am so very blessed to live in the epicenter for outdoor actives. We have endless opportunities like hiking, floating the river, fishing, hunting, snowboarding or skiing. The list for outdoor fun could go on forever! My mom is part owners of the Wine Bar, SIPS on Main. I would absolutely take my best friend to Sips so they can experience “Cedaredge’s living room.”
Shopping is also a must! Ollie Jane has the cutest jewelry and western clothing in Cedaredge!

When friends and family come to visit, we also usually take them up to the Mountain towns like Crested Butte, Telluride, or Ouray.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Starting an esthetics business in rural Colorado absolutely is a leap of faith! I truly could not make this happen without the support of my family, friends, or my community as a whole. I appreciate the love and support more then I could ever express with words!
