Hi Austin, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
For the last eight years, I’ve been absorbed in pendant-making, patiently refining my skills through diligent experimentation. The learning curve has been steep, yet I’ve finally arrived at a place where I can truly stand behind my creations. As the year turned, I resolved to test the waters, showcasing my work beyond my immediate circle. It’s time to see where these artistic explorations might lead.
My primary ambition is to share these wearable works of art with a wider audience and forge connections with kindred spirits. I hope my pendants will resonate, kindling moments of joy, provoking thought, or even just inspiring a little wonder. Or even a new Perception.
With a background steeped in construction and woodworking, a facility for crafting things by hand has always been part of who I am. Crafting pendants has become a perfect outlet, a space where I can channel my inventiveness and skills. This challenging yet fulfilling journey leaves me eager to discover where the path leads.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
My journey into crafting unique pieces has been a labor of love and dedication. I take immense pride in the time and effort I pour into each creation, ensuring that every piece is distinct and special. Some pieces demand more attention and care to perfect, but the end result is always worth it. I’m thrilled to embark on my professional vending career and make a positive impact in the community we all cherish.
My success today is a direct result of unwavering dedication to my craft, through both triumphs and setbacks. Even when motivation or creativity wanes, I persevere, chipping away at each piece until it meets my standards. The path wasn’t easy. I began experimenting with techniques years ago, learning valuable lessons through trial and error. I view failures as opportunities for growth, constantly seeking ways to improve, adapt, and realize my creative vision.
I prioritize quality and detail in every piece I create. Over time, I’ve developed specific methods, understanding the importance of patience in the creative process. Good things take time, and every pendant I craft is infused with love and a touch of magic. Some of the main materials used in my Pinecone Pendants are Hatipins, Blotter Art, Opal, Crushed Crystals, and many other Precious Gemstones. I find inspiration in many things all around me. Visualizing many objects that I can use as a layer into a work of art.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Eugene, Oregon, offers a plethora of experiences for visitors seeking the quintessential Pacific Northwest adventure. When friends and family come to visit, I always aim to showcase the diverse beauty and activities this region has to offer. From stunning landscapes to thrilling outdoor pursuits, there’s something for everyone.
One of the highlights of the area is the abundance of natural attractions. Hot springs provide relaxation, while waterfall hikes offer breathtaking views. For the more adventurous, mountain biking trails abound, and camping opportunities are plentiful. With each day bringing a new adventure, it’s essential to seize the nice weather, especially considering the rainy winters.
Beyond the outdoors, Eugene boasts a vibrant food scene. The variety of exotic food trucks and amazing seafood restaurants is sure to impress any palate. And with Eugene’s convenient location, striking destinations are typically just an hour or less away. For outdoor enthusiasts, the Pacific Northwest, with Eugene as its hub, is an absolute must-visit.

For the past eight years, I’ve dedicated myself to crafting unique pendants, a journey marked by continuous learning and refinement. My evolution as an artist has been shaped by countless hours of experimentation, each mistake a lesson learned, each success a step forward. Through persistent trial and error, I’ve honed my skills, gradually transforming raw materials into intricate works of art. My goal has always been to elevate my craft, pushing the boundaries of my abilities to achieve the level of artistry I aspire to.
Earlier this year, I embarked on a new project: creating the Compass Pendant. This piece represents a culmination of my experience and a bold step towards realizing my artistic vision. I feel ready to share my creations with the world, eager to connect with individuals who appreciate the beauty and craftsmanship I pour into each piece. My ultimate dream is to work for myself, dedicating my time and energy to the art I love.
Having spent much of my life in construction and woodworking, I found that pendant-making provides the perfect medium for my artistic expression. The precision and attention to detail required in these crafts translate seamlessly to the creation of intricate pendants. This journey has not only allowed me to pursue my passion but has also provided a fulfilling path toward self-employment and the opportunity to share my art with a global audience.
