We had the good fortune of connecting with Avalon Guenther and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Avalon, what led you to pursuing a creative path professionally?
My passion for creativity began at a young age when I started in dance class which I pursued through college. Over that time I developed my foundations for using the creative process to solve problems, express emotions, covay messages, and entertain an audience. As my interest changed and I found a love for the outdoors I began applying my creative skills to sharing my adventures on social media. Similar to dance, I use my creativity to display my adventures using different processes to tell a story, express emotions, inspire, and entertain. The endless opportunities of a creative career is what keeps me inspired and motivated. I will always be searching for new ways to display my adventures, catch someone’s eye, explain the gear I’m using, make something that hasn’t been done before, and provide entertainment. One thing I value in my creative career is that there’s no right or wrong answers, just your ideas constantly learning and evolving by keeping an open mind and trying new things. I enjoy the process of putting content out that I thought was perfect, but after seeing the response to it I take time to question what could have been done better, or why it didn’t attract the audience I hoped for. Going through the creative process while sharing my passion for the outdoors and adventure makes my creative career a dream. There is nothing better than the feeling of accomplishment after putting tons of creative pieces on one page that creates a brand which reflects me and my passions.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
What excites me about creating content is that I get to spend my time talking and thinking about my passions. I love all things outdoors, adventures, and healthy living. So nothing gets me more excited than creating content and being able to share it! Something that sets me and my content apart from others is that I use TikTok, and there are very few females in the power sports industry who have a strong following and community on that platform. One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned along the way is that your dreams can never be too big. Some things I’ve done in the past year I could have only dreamt of doing before, and had I stopped believing in myself I wouldn’t have gotten to experience them. Things do take time, trial and error, learning, and growing. But if you keep showing up everyday with the intention to do your best and put in the work, slowly your dreams can evolve into a reality. I want the world to know that my goals through my platform is to get more people outside exploring nature, and to create a fun community for outdoor loving people on social media. I want people to feel free to share their thoughts, tips, tricks, views, and recommendations. I want to hear about other people’s adventures, how they tried something new, or how they thought about a new place they visited. Overall my journey has had many ups and downs and will continue too, but at the end of the day if I inspired one person then I know it was all worth it.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
One of my favorite adventures in Colorado was to Arrowhead Mountain Lodge in Cimarron. It is the cutest little lodge in the middle of the mountains with amazing staff and guides to show you around the area. Snowmobiling or renting side by sides from their lodge will get you to some epic views of the mountains. They also have a restaurant with delicious home made food which is a must do after a long day exploring. Another must do Colorado adventure for me is skiing at the many resorts just outside of town. Winter Park, Keystone, and Breckenridge are some of my favorites and I never fail to have a great day on the slopes.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My first shoutout goes to my brother who has always supported me through all my endeavors. He is someone I can go to with an off the wall idea or a big dream and with out a doubt be there to support me. He is always believing in me, challenging me to become the best version of myself, and reminding me to keep my standards high. My second shoutout goes to Polaris Adventures who is the first company that supported me along my journey, and took a chance on me. They have provided a community, adventures, and a platform to share my adventures on. I am so beyond grateful to the people they have introduced me to, and the opportunities they have given me to share my passion.
