We had the good fortune of connecting with Beatrice Carranza and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Beatrice, what do you attribute your success to?
The most important factor behind the success of BACHAZ is staying true to who we are and why we started. BACHAZ was created because we notice something missing for people like us. The authentic flavors, the bilingual packaging, the culture behind every gummy it all comes from the heart. I think people feel that when they try BACHAZ. It’s real, it’s different and it was made with purpose. That connection is what’s helps us grow.

What should our readers know about your business?
BACHAZ is a Hispanic handcrafted cannabis gummy brand rooted in culture, family and bold, authentic flavors. Our gummies are inspired by the Mexican treats we grew up with, flavors like tamarindo chamoy, mango, strawberry, pineapple and watermelon and chili flakes. We’re proud to be the first edible brand in Colorado with bilingual packaging. It means a lot to be able to represent and reach our familias, especially in an industry where we’ve been overlooked for way too long.
What sets us apart are our flavors and our purpose. BACHAZ isn’t just a product, it’s a reflection of who we are. BACHAZ brings something real and different to the market because it comes from the heart. Everything, from the flavors to the packaging is rooted in where we come from. Our recipes are unique, our packaging is made with purpose and every detail is done with care. The idea for BACHAZ started at home and was built with the help of my familia. I started BACHAC through Colorado’s social equity program but just like many others in this space, I ran into a lot of delays, limited funding and systems that weren’t built to support us.

Still, I kept pushing. I asked questions, stayed consistent and worked hard, sometimes 10 to 12 hours a day just to keep things moving forward.
One of the things I’m most proud of is seeing people’s reactions when they try our gummies. They light up and they smile. They say it reminds them of home or childhood memories and that’s everything to me. It makes all the struggle and long nights worth it.
One thing I’ve learned is that success doesn’t happen overnight. It takes a lot of patience, support from your community and putting your whole heart into it. BACHAZ is still growing and we have so many exciting plans ahead, new flavors, new products and more ways to represent our culture in this space. What I want the world to know is that BACHAZ is more than a cannabis brand. It’s about showing up with our culture, our creativity and making sure our people are truly represented in this space one gummy at a time.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If my best friend or a family member came to visit for a week, I’d make sure they had the best time. We’d start at a dispensary that carries BACHAZ to grab some gummies, then for dinner will stop at Walter’s for some great pizza and a cold beer.
Next day we’d ride scooters around town, maybe catch a game. We’d relax at Tetra Lounge and grab burgers at My Brother’s Bar.
For sushi night, we’d go to Bamboo Sushi, take a nice walk around downtown and stop by Little Man Ice Cream for something sweet.
Another day, we’d head to City Park for a free concert, lay out in the grass, then make our way to Belle’s and Boots to end the evening with some good vibes and BBQ.
A full week of good food, good vibes and BACHAZ gummies by our side, one gummy at a time.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I have to give a big shoutout to my family. BACHAZ started at home as just an idea and they’ve been by my side ever since. They’ve helped me with everything, from the smallest details to supporting BACHAZ financially when it needed it. Honestly, I wouldn’t have made it this far without them. This brand is something we built together out of the core values of family, authenticity, passion and care.

I also want to thank the mentors who’ve guided me along the way. Their advice, encouragement and time have made a huge difference, especially in an industry that can feel overwhelming at times. I’m so grateful for everyone who’s believed in us and helped us grow.
