We had the good fortune of connecting with Victoria Robinson and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Victoria, what do you attribute your success to?
It’s important to me that my brand is built with honesty and integrity every step of the way.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I offer a private studio experience where I only see one guest at a time. This is to ensure my focus is solely on my client during their reservation. My home studio is in contrast to bigger hair salons and that’s the vibe I project throughout my business. I am a firm believer in simple hair care, clean products, and educating my guests on how to maintain their look at home. I am the most proud of the level of detail I put into each guest’s visit. I want all of my clients to have peace of mind when it comes to their hair services where they leave feeling understood, rejuvenated and beautiful. If there is anything I want people to know it’s that I pour my heart and soul into my commitments. When I set my mind to something I am all in. I’ve made mistakes, I’ve prioritized the wrong things at times and I’m sure I will in the future as well. What I’ve learned it that I’m always a work in progress, I celebrate my wins when I’ve earned them and I strategize new goals that directly improve every area of my life, my business included.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Honestly any little mountain town will work for me! I could stay in a cabin. a bed and breakfast or a tent, that doesn’t matter so much as the time I get to spend in nature. There are plenty of rivers and lakes to visit, hiking trails and mom and pop shops to support so I say check them all out and see what works for you! The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Britt Seva! She is my business coach and although she has thousands of students, her program and training has made the biggest difference not just in my business but in most areas of my life. Her courses are specifically made for hairstylists and include a ton of great information for growing your business. From organization and time management, social media and marketing, to leveling up your guest experience or making that next big move, she’s got it covered for you! Thrivers Society changed the life I knew as a stylist, has taught me a lot about community, time management and has taught me what it truly means to live a beautiful life. I owe her a lifetime of gratitude. Thank YOU Britt! Amy Baugh Amy was the first balayage expert I followed when I joined Instagram 2 years ago and I have admired her work from the start. Her work motivated me, her attitude inspired me and her classes have helped me in many ways since I clicked follow. I remember showing up to her first in person class as an educator with shaky nerves and my phone to record, re-watch, study and practice. Several classes and several dollars later I am confident in my ability as a balayage artist. I continue to invest in many courses several times a year, and you bet I can count on Amy’s courses to help me master my craft for the next guest who sits in my chair. Thank you Amy, I’m a forever fan of not just your work, but your amazing personality!
