We had the good fortune of connecting with Bethel Jiricek and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Bethel, how has your background shaped the person you are today?
I am originally from northern Colorado and grew up in a blended family. I have one brother and six sisters. I would say my background has had a big influence on who I am today. My childhood was a bit chaotic which is probably why I like to plan my day and have goals. However, as I get older, I realize trying to have so much control can be limiting and stressful. Now that I am homeschooling my children and working around their schedule, I have learned to be more relaxed about my plans.
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I began writing family Bible studies in 2020. I was led to write after I began doing my own mini Bible studies for my children. My kids kept saying that I should write a book about it since I had recently published a DIY book. I felt the Lord pushing me to do the same but I was nervous about doing something so out of my comfort zone. I ran it by my book designer and she immediately said – “Do it!” She really encouraged me to write a Pentecost Bible family study book, and after that, I could not stop. I now have three family Bible studies published, three different journals, and another Bible study in the design process.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I am extremely grateful to my family and my Savior, Jesus. God has directed this stage in my life. He has led me to write for Him to bring glory to His name. I could not do that without the amazing support of my husband, Jeremy, my children and my friends and family. I have been very blessed to have a few amazing friends that have come alongside me and encouraged me to write. My sister, Rachelle, was one of the first people that reassured me that I could write a book. My friend, Pastor Heidi, from the Greeley Vineyard Church and my book designer, Mindy, are amazing friends who are always cheering on my ideas and helping build my confidence.
