We had the good fortune of connecting with Adam Matricardi and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Adam, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
The most important factor in the success of Soulful Herbals and how it carried over to Elixir Kava Bar is really about being customer focused. At Elixir Kava Bar in Hollywood, we have created a truly inclusive environment where everyone is welcomed and everyone can feel relaxed and at home. We do this by educating the staff that our customers may be coming to us because of pain, anxiety and the factors of life that can create struggle. At Soulful Herbals, Plant Medicine Mafia and Elixir Kava bar we present herbal alternatives to help with pain and anxiety while creating an atmosphere where people can build connections to the community and each other. We make our Elixirs using the finest ingredients and our kava teas are second to none for potency. Everything we do is with the focus on the customer and to make this little corner of Hollywood Florida a better place for everyone. Also, we have had the help of a great local kava and business community that includes the team at South Florida SEO, which has helped us to grow organically and get the word out. Elixir Kava Bar in Hollywood Florida has a great staff of kava professionals who know the drinks and are always happy to help anyone have a great experience. We are proud to have created a sanctuary that is free of alcohol where people can come to relax.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
I started Soulful Herbals in 2016 as a way to help people in my family who were suffering with pain issues. After years of working on it as a side business, I was forced into action by the quarantine. I did not want to keep working in the traditional sense and focused on making Soulful Herbals a worldwide brand. Due to the success of the brand, getting traction with videos on TIkTok, I was able to make it my main business in 2020. Taking the business on the road and doing pop ups to introduce kava and kratom to the world is how I met my partners in Elixir Kava bar in Hollywood. They appreciated my work and how I was helping people and serving the community and immediately we started working on a concept for a kava bar.. We wanted to create not just a business, but a force of good in the community. Elixir Kava Bar in Hollywood Florida is no ordinary tea bar. Within its walls, you will find an attentive staff, caring owners and our bar manager, Craig McTaggert, who is like the glue that bonds us all together. We even have Immunity Juice bar within our shop to give alternatives to those who do not want a Mocktail with kratom or kava.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Ok of course, I would take them to Elixir Kava Bar in Hollywood Florida. There are so many great businesses and places within a stone’s throw away that we can enjoy. Of course, right next door, our friends at Sacred Eye Tattoo, are amazing. This would be a great place to see even if you were not interested in a tattoo. Of course they should try Immunity Juice Bar, which is located right inside Elixir Kava Bar. I recommend the Roger Rabbit, a juice that has carrot and ginger and is delicious. For the kava bar, definitely try the Cinnamon Toast Krunch kava Mocktail or the Thyme Machine, which is made with kratom extract. For food, visit Hoshi. They have Thai food and Sushi that is out of this world. A Carrots Express will be opening across the street, so the environment around Elixir Kava bar is just growing.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would like to dedicate this shoutout to the team at Elixir Kava bar. This includes my business partners and my staff, who have worked tirelessly to create an incredible environment for this Hollywood Kava Bar. It started with a chance meeting and in only a few months we were standing in front of our fully built out kava bar ready to open. For someone who has spent the large portion of his career working alone, to have such great support from every person on the team was refreshing. The investor team was open to suggestions and helped make everything go smoothly. There was never any arguing as we were all focused on creating the best experience using the highest quality ingredients and the best equipment available. We brought in an experienced kava bar manager for the Hollywood kava bar location and we were off to the races. When you come into Elixir Kava Bar Hollywood, you will meet the entire team from staff to investors as everyone has come around to share in this amazing vibe we created from scratch. I have never experienced teamwork in the likes of what culminated in the creation of Elixir Kava Bar.
