We had the good fortune of connecting with Bo Richardson and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Bo, why did you pursue a creative career?
I chose this creative path somewhat by luck and the passion I have for music. I love the energy and joy that music gives to everyone. I love being able to look at the dance floor and say “WOW…….I helped create that energy and joy!!”

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I work hard, hustle and grind for everything I earn. I am most proud that I have held a daily 9-5 job (Muggle life) all this time with being a DJ. That focus has help me with my DJ life in organization and planning for events. Learning how to juggle multiple things/activities at once. It’s never easy learning from a new challenger; but I appreciate the opportunity to learn and grow from it. I have learned that you must be able to adapt to situations; but you also have to have a core value system set up. Having a standard to gig s you will accept, creating contracts and communicating effectively and efficiently is key. I have always said, work smarter not harder.
