Meet Bobby Korman | Photographer

We had the good fortune of connecting with Bobby Korman and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Bobby, what’s the end goal, career-wise?
My ultimate goal for my photography career is to travel the world, camera in hand. I dream of capturing lions, cheetahs, and giraffes roaming the African plains, exploring the stunning architecture and serene beauty of Japan, walking the shores of Cuba (a place that’s especially meaningful to me as I’m part Cuban), and framing the breathtaking landscapes of Italy. I’m actively checking destinations off my bucket list—so far, that includes California, Mexico, and the Caribbean—and I can’t wait to see where my lens takes me next.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I have a deep love for landscapes and the raw beauty of nature. There’s something incredibly fulfilling about capturing the intricate details of historic landmarks and bringing to life the breathtaking scenes I witness through my lens. With every photo, I strive to go beyond the image—I want you to feel the wind rustling through an eagle’s feathers, sense the texture of a lion’s fur, and hear the soft chuff of a tiger. I want the warmth of the sun on the open plains to reach you, no matter where you are. My goal is simple: to spark emotion, stir curiosity, and connect you to the world as I see it—one frame at a time. One of the biggest lessons photography has taught me is patience—timing truly is everything. I’ve learned to slow down, observe, and take in the full scene rather than focusing solely on a single subject. It’s in those quiet, in-between moments that the most powerful stories unfold. Every detail matters, and sometimes the magic lies just outside the spotlight.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If I were planning the perfect Colorado adventure, I’d start with a visit to Rocky Mountain National Park—nothing beats a picnic lunch surrounded by stunning mountain views and a full day of exploring the great outdoors. Since I’m all about those high-altitude vibes, I’d make sure to hit Vail and Steamboat Springs, with a stop at the breathtaking Maroon Bells—because those peaks are just too iconic to miss.
A night in Denver would definitely be on the itinerary. I’d treat myself to a classic steak dinner at Woolley’s, soaking up the cozy, old-school charm and savoring every bite. Afterward, I’d take a walk down the 16th Street Mall to enjoy the lights, street performers, and city energy.
To round out the trip, I’d explore the dramatic rock formations at Garden of the Gods and then head to the Painted Mines for a colorful, otherworldly experience. A mix of adventure, good food, and unforgettable views—now that’s my kind of trip!

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I wouldn’t be where I am today without the incredible support of my family and friends. While experiencing life and chasing dreams, I was lucky enough to have a woman who inspired me to dive in lens-first—she let me explore photography through her equipment and even helped me buy my very first camera. My dad has always been my biggest cheerleader, encouraging me to follow what makes me happy. My mom, who is no longer with us, pushed me to be my very best, and her strength still motivates me every day. And to my amazing circle of friends—thank you for lifting me up and backing me every step of the way. You’ve all played a part in my journey, and I’m forever grateful.
