We had the good fortune of connecting with Brad Yamamoto and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Brad, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
Success means something different to each person. One of the main factors for my success is relationships. Behind relationships is building trust. Trust takes time and even years to gain, but can be lost in a matter of seconds! It is not only gained by delivering what you say or do, but by going beyond your clients’ expectations. Building trust is core to my business. Once trust is gained, referrals are the highest compliment I could receive.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
Born in Denver, but raised in North Texas I graduated Baylor University with a pre-med degree in Biology with sights on Medical School. Took a “detour” and worked on ski patrol at Mammoth Mountain Ski Resort and decided to go a different direction. Photography and videography has been an interest all my life. Traveling the world (to many 3rd world countries), jr high yearbook photographer, and living in Crested Butte has allowed me to bring along a camera and diversify my creative skills. After making a career change from medical sales, I decided to start my photography business. One of the best experiences beginning from “scratch” is to discover what you do not want to photograph. My business has evolved to include lifestyle, event, and architectural photography and videography.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Depending on the time of year, some of my favorite places I suggest to visitors coming to Denver for a week:

Denver Botanical Gardens
Cherry Creek North – Christmas lights
Red Rocks

Golf:
Fossil Trace
Riverdale
Bear Dance
Arrowhead

Dining/Drinks:
Matsuhisa
Restaurant Olivia
Little Man Ice Cream
The Cooper Lounge
Best people watching – Forget Me Not
Best Downtown views – El Five

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My success could not have been possible without the support system behind me. Specifically my wife and family.
