We had the good fortune of connecting with Brandy Benson and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Brandy, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
I have had a camera in my hands since I could. Being behind the camera is where I am most comfortable. Documenting different milestones in one’s journey is powerful. I have completed many free projects for non-profits and low-income families in my photography business. It helps me build my business while giving a family or nonprofit an opportunity they might not afford otherwise. Giving back is where I am truly happiest.
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I offer traditional photography services at a low price. I also offer creative photography options, where I can get into photoshop and remove blemishes or change the color of the sky.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I would def. take them to meow wolf I would eat at donutsville in Westminster for breakfast
I would eat dinner at STK
I would also take them into the mountains to put their toes in the water
I would also take them on a motorcycle ride.
I am a hip hop dancer, I roller skate and ride a Yamaha MT07
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
