We had the good fortune of connecting with Brian Galetta and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Brian, how does your business help the community or world?
There are many ways that the Brian Galetta Agency strives to help our Local Community, and in turn we hope that the small steps we take (See Below) will have a positive influence on a larger level later on. 1. Volunteering- Every employee, myself included, is required to volunteer for 2 hours every month. Employees are paid their normal wage for those two hours (which are in addition to their normal hours), and the way in which they volunteer is also up to them, as long as they are getting engaged and helping in an area of need. 2. Supporting 1st Responders, Teachers, Nurses, and really anybody that we can who needs it- Whether it is taking meals to 1st responders/nurses, buying school supplies for teachers, donating our time/money to local nonprofits, or in addition to other things, just doing our best to take our lunch breaks at locally owned restaurants, we Love supporting members in our Community! We hope that by doing this Kindness and Generosity will become more sustainable for everybody we become involved with. 3. Company Policies and Practices- In addition to volunteering, I (as the employer) do my best to pay my employees better than average wages, offer them benefits that are applicable to their “Life Situations” and preferences, and stress a positive work-life balance, all while trying to have some fun and not take ourselves too seriously. 4. Buy Local as much as possible- In addition to supporting Local Restaurants whenever possible, we also use local services as much as we can in the everyday operations of the Business. Need a coffee, let’s go to a local coffee shop and get an Espresso, or you can stay in our office and have a single-serve K-cup from one of our Local Coffee Roasters. Planning a marketing day, we almost always use products/services that come directly from our Local Community. Whenever dollars are going out, we try to make sure they will stay as close to our Community as possible. There are surely more, and we are always striving to find new ways, but these are just a few of the ways we hope our Business can help support the community.

What should our readers know about your business?
I’ve always seen my small agency as a great opportunity to get further involved in my local community; as a way to support First Responders, Military, Teachers, and even local businesses and nonprofits, it’s the WHY my business exists and I’m Proud to say that we get recognized for this on a routine basis. It makes me excited when I get the opportunity to meet others who support those around them as well, it drives me to be successful and to show that our Philosophy of how important relationships and local businesses are to the community is in fact a great way to accomplish long-term success.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Man, it all depends on what the person likes, but that’s the great thing about Colorado, especially Colorado Springs, there is something for everybody here, far too many things for me to list!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Mike O’Donnell- Mike is the Executive Director at Colorado Lending Source in Denver, Colorado. When first getting into business for myself, like many others, I needed money! Mike was able to help me secure a couple of small business loans through the Colorado Main Street Loan Program at Colorado Lending Source, but in truth he helped me with way more than that, he was a “Patient Mentor”. There are so many aspects of being a Small Business Owner that Mike helped me with, and he even drove down to Colorado Springs to help me close on my loans!
