We had the good fortune of connecting with Brianna Freda-reed and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Brianna, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
I loved training and coaching aerial silks but there wasn’t anything in my town for it. I decided if I was going to set something up local, I was going to make it accessible to everyone as well

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I started my business in 2020 when Covid was at its height. I didn’t take on students until 2021 and since then had a miscarriage and a full pregnancy giving us our first child. I coached classes (from the floor) all the way up to the week before I gave birth. Coming back postpartum was anything but a “snap back”. I had to go through months of physical therapy and build back most of my muscle. While it wasn’t what I had hoped for, it pushed me to get more training certifications and learn more about how the body needs to overall function and be rehabbed for the optimal mobility. Now, in 2025, I will be offering not only aerial silks classes, but also functional mobility and mama specific mobility classes. My aim is to help everyone move better and feel better in their day to day.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
For food, we would be going to Ito’s Sushi and Steakhouse, and Aspen Leaf Bakery in Florence Colorado. In Cañon City we would go to Nirvana Indian cuisine, El Caporal, Yummy Thai, You Scream Treat Emporium, Sally’s Bakery, The Bean Pedelar, and either Big Burger World or The Owl.
Going up and hiking around The Royal Gorge trails is always a must! Skyline drive is where we would go coming back into town. Depending on the season, the Rock Shop up by the Gorge is also another must. I always enjoy a trip up to Mt. Princeton Hot Springs, and would probably take them to Desert Reef Hot Springs just outside of Florence. Walking through our historic downtown Main Street is always a fun time as well!

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I was introduced to Aerial Silks and movement by one of my mentors Andrea Moon. I took an interim college course with her at the University of Northern Colorado and it sparked the flame which became my deep passion for this form of fitness and dance.
