We had the good fortune of connecting with Brianna Kraus and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Brianna, how has your background shaped the person you are today?
I am a Colorado native, raised in Littleton. I love living in Colorado and cannot imagine living anywhere else. When I was 16 years old, I came down with a strong flu-like illness: horrible sore throat, super high fever, horrible body aches, etc. When those symptoms resolved, I was left with zero energy to do anything beyond attending classes- no extracurriculars, no homework, no spending time with friends or family. I went to my doctor, who ran as many tests as he could think of to explain my fatigue, and all my tests came back negative or normal, which was a good thing, but also didn’t provide me with any answers. My mom was being treated by an acupuncturist at the time, and suggested I give it a try as a next step in figuring out and resolving my fatigue. Once I met with the acupuncturist, I felt like she heard me, validated what I was going through, and above all, made me feel better. I was so amazed by my results, and how many complaints she could treat, that I encouraged anyone and everyone to try acupuncture as a way to treat whatever health conditions they had going on. After graduating, I then went on to become an acupuncturist myself. It is my goal to positively impact others the way I was impacted by this medicine.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I have been in practice for 10 years as of May 2025. I jokingly refer to my practice as my third child, as I have grown and shaped my business alongside raising two young children. I am really proud of the fact that I have been able to grow and create a successful practice while being a present mom at the same time. Being a mom and a business owner is never easy, but I am very fortunate to have a very supportive spouse and family that cheer me on and help me accomplish business goals while also prioritizing our family.

One thing that I was surprised to learn was that no matter how great of an acupuncturist I am, it is just as important to be a good business owner as well. I had to learn through trial and error, and on the job how to run my practice like a business. Networking groups, learning from other practitioners, and hiring a business coach, Melanie Donohoue, who specializes in helping women run a business while being a present mom, were the most impactful in overcoming the challenge of being a successful business owner. I often have acupuncture students shadow me to earn credit for their programs, and I tell every one of them to invest in resources to teach them how to be a good business owner as well.

I am very proud of the fact that I am a No Surprise Bill practitioner, which means that all of the services/modalities I use in my practice are covered under the session fee. This means my clients can relax and know they are fully taken care of each and every session.

I want people to know that my office is a space where they can come and share their deep concerns and will be heard, listened to and believed without being judged. This is a space where you can come relax and let someone else care for you for a change.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Hang outs: We love going to Comedy Works, particularly the Landmark location. Friends who have visited have wanted to see Red Rocks, and going to Estes Park and walking Main Street in Estes, is always a really fun trip. This summer, we loved going to a Rocky Mountain Vibes baseball game down in Colorado Springs. My husband and I are big sports fans, so going to any game, whether football, hockey, baseball or lacrosse are always fun experiences as well.

Restaurants: My family loves Mexican food, so El Karajo in Greenwood Village or Rio Grande are two of our favorite places to eat, and we also love visiting the Melting Pot in Littleton for special occasions.

Coffee shops: 303Coffee near Park Meadows Mall is one of my favorite coffee shops, as well as Enchanted Grounds in Highlands Ranch. My cousin, mom, grandma and I also have a tradition of going to English Tealeaves in Parker for high tea at least once a year.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
There are two people who impacted my decision to become an acupuncturist the most: The first one being my mom, Debi Circle, who encouraged me to try acupuncture as a healing modality, but she was also the one who suggested/encouraged me to pursue a career in acupuncture. She is one of my biggest supporters in sharing what I do and how effective I am as a practitioner with people she encounters that may benefit.

The other one is my first acupuncturist, Priscilla Allen. She constantly amazed me with her wisdom, her ability to pinpoint what was ailing me, and above all, made me feel better and improved my overall well-being. She also helped me with my decision about what acupuncture school to attend, as well as providing guidance and reassurance as a professional when I opened my own practice.
